The awning over the entrance protected the cats from rain and wind. They had no problem getting in and out of it. My cats are used to a loose flaps on the exit so I removed the magnets holding it shut. That side was in a protected area so even without the magnets the flap provides protection. Best of all they easily got used to it. One more feature I really like is the quality cord and on/off switch. The cord is well protected and if there is a power outage the switch in “on” position will provide power when it is restored.
