Our one kitty has 3 paws and has food anxiety - meaning, he feels like he will miss his food at feeding time and goes crazy waiting for his meal, but will get scared to eat or finish his dish if another pet tries to steal it. He will walk away and then be hungry. This feeder makes it impossible for others to take his food! He learned how to use it super quickly and it’s just so nice that Hopper if finally able to eat in peace. Game changer!

I was surprised by how quiet the motor is, but the intended cat felt quite differently about it. Pairing with his microchip was easy-peasy, but from the first time the motor--with the feeding door removed--made its little "whir" sound, the cat was NOT having it. We tried for a few days, but eventually had to remove the whole contraption from the room before he would eat again. Note: if your pet is sensitive to deep or narrow/whisker touching dishes, this is not the feeder for you.

Um, it's okay so far. The dish is very deep and he can't get wet food out of the corners or back. I'm concerned a lot of food will go to waste. There's a lot of head room which is nice. Is closes a bit too slowly though I think and I don't understand the training mode. Maybe time will tell on it all. I have 4 other brand auto feeders, 2 of which are also microchip and all different brands.

I spent forever comparing microchip feeders and I'm so glad I went with this one! It was incredibly easy to set up and linking with my cat's microchip literally took 2 seconds. This has been so helpful with helping my skinniest cat get his fair share of food. Two small things: 1. my cat is tall, so I actually have it on top of a case to raise it. It may not be the "ergonomic" for every cat by itself, but it's an easy fix and he doesn't seem to mind. 2. It does take longer to open than I would expect. But it only took him not even a full day to get used to it, so it clearly didn't interfere with the training too much. Overall really, really happy with it!

Meowth is a recovered street cat with some food insecurity. He chose to live with us 6 years ago and totally failed to learn our usual RFID feeder. He would get upset at the closing door (folding down over food) and try to shove it open, and over time broke 2 motors. So, since he always wolfed his food, we just fed him alone in a bedroom. 2 months ago this plan fell apart. My 2 cats are having dominance issues, and Meowth DOES NOT LIKE being shut away from everything in the bedroom, and now wants to graze little bits through the day. So we needed a personal feeder only he can use. Mibowl fits the bill pretty well. It's quieter than the other feeder, and the door moves faster, and slides in place in a way he can't try to push back. Plus the feeder is enclosed enough to feel like others won't get his food, but open enough that he's willing to stick his head in. My one problem is it doesn't really have a useful training mode, where the lid is partly open to encourage them and help them get used to the way it opens and closes. It's training mode just leaves it open longer once they open it, which doesn't reassure Meowth and just makes food easier to steal

Works as advertised but Nutmeg won’t use it.

My vet recommended this. I was hoping it would work to keep my older cat out of the kittens food. Nope. Then I tried to use it to keep the kitten out of the adult

My vet recommended this. I was hoping it would work to keep my older cat out of the kittens food. Nope. Then I tried to use it to keep the kitten out of the adult food. Nope. So now I just mix it all together and they are back to free feeding.

Problem solved

Two cats, each with a special diet. Four stars because of the price-YIKES! But all is well and the feeders have given us no problems.

I love how well it keeps other pets out, and my cat had no problem with how deep in the bowl was. However, I have to physically hold my cat close to the top of the inside so her microchip gets read and it opens. I dont know if they just imagined taller cats using this but it's ridiculous to have to have the back of their necks literally against the top part for it to ever open. It added her microchip fine without her being that close but forget her ever being able to open the thing on her own.
