Initially, we really liked this tie-out. It was very flexible, more than long enough and lightweight, eliminating the fear of getting hit by it because one of our dogs had the zoomies. However, in less than a week, we noticed it had become frayed not from chewing (all of our dogs are adults that do not chew their leads) but from the twisting of the lead which is unavoidable. The largest dog is an 80 lb, muscular fella.
A really nice strong tie out. I ordered the wrong size.
What I wanted.but wish latches were stronger so my dog doesn't snap them
This item is not any good. It broke the very next day I used it.
First, I just want to say that these tie outs are SO much safer than the wire cable kind! We started out with a wire cable tie out, and our dog would run circles around us, sometimes getting it wrapped around our ankles. It would hurt, but I couldn't find anything different at stores, so we kept using it. Then, one time the wire actually cut me deep enough to leave a scar on my ankle, which sent me searching online and finding this non-cable tie out! I bought the 15 ft. version about a year ago for our Golden Retriever. We use it all the time and it has worked great! Sometimes we link 2 together to make a 30 ft. tie out so he can roam around more. I see they have a 20 ft. in stock now, so I just ordered one to have another length option. Great product!
Light weight and just enough length for my dog to explore when we’re sitting outside. My dog is a small sized dog- only 16 pounds and the cable we had would pull on her harness. This is perfect and doesn’t weigh her down.
I used one like it on about 100 ft. cable run for my nearly 6 yr. old f. Great Pyrenees-87 lbs—for about 4 years. The cording was worn but still okay, but the catches had weathered and failed so I needed 2 at each end, one connected to a 10 ft. length of lighter chain and the other to her collar—too heavy and complicated. I’m pleased with the replacement, however I check on her frequently, especially when she barks. I live in the Maine woods so I tend to be protective. She can really pull if she spots a critter; so far so good.
Didn't last even an hour with my 9 mo old puppy. Chewed on then it got caught at base and got tangled.
changed to this dog tie from the coil this time and we really like it.
I’ve tried the cable tie outs numerous times and they kept on getting tangled up. Finally found this one and so far so good.
