Please do not puchase
I used this leash lightly, for one week, with my 12 pound terrier mix and it is broken. There is a nylon cord (smaller than a clothes line cord) inside the leather. The handle of the leash and the hook section are attached to the main body of the leash by this cord only, the leather is NOT sewn together nor is it sewn to the cord. The handle separated from the main section of the leash and the cord came out. Then my dog separated from me. Fortunately, he did not leave me but for anyone with a more reactive dog, this is dangerous.
Great for a small dog
I love this leash for my 20lb terrier. It's long and the leather is soft and hopefully it will last for a long time. The clasp is small and not too heavy for a small dog.

Poor quality leather dog leash
Just got my small 7 week old JRT puppy. The leash lasted one week .It pulled loose from the leather handle and exposed the nylon string.
broke within a month of use
I have a mini dachshund. This leash broke in less then a month.
Not advertised length
The leash length is advertised as 6 feet and it is not. I'm 5'7 and it's shorter than I am. The reason I bought it was to be used in competition obedience where it is required to be 6 feet so that was a bust. If you don't care about the length the rest of the leash is fine. Glad I was able to get my money back for it though.

This leash is the perfect width, has flexibility, strenth and is attractive
Decent small leash
I got this leash for my miniature poodle. The flat leather leash I had before was more comfortable in my hands than this small, rolled one. He weighs about 18 lbs. and occasionally pulls. This would be a good choice for a smaller dog, like my toy. The flat leather leash that I had was heavier and had a bigger clip, which made the leash constantly turn and get under his front leg. This leash has a small clip, so it is better in that regard. The leash is well made, but it is better for small dogs or dogs that don't pull.

X-small Leash
This leash is perfect for my little Jack Russell. It’s lightweight so it’s not pulling down on her but still sturdy enough to keep her close.
