It did not work for my 11 Il. dog. On our walk I was left with holding the lease and harness. My dog was going in another direction. I measured the dog and got a med. but at the shortest, it was still too big. The clip was also hard the use. It is very nice looking and I gave it to a friend. I would not recommend for a small dog.
