AMAZING!!!!!!
It really works..... my new terribly anxious and skittish collie rescue had a spay surgery and I knew the usual plastic cone would just NOT work. So I took a chance on this and she did not fight it or attempt to get to the stitches....in fact because it acts as a pillow I actually felt it had a calming effect on her. HIGHLY recommend this.
Didn’t work
The collar wasn’t large enough to keep our dog from licking her paw. The whole reason for getting it was to prevent this. The collar was the right size. It just wasn’t big enough to keep her from getting to her paw. Not an effective tool.

I am thrilled to write the first Chewy review for the Comfurt Collar!! Before our mini dachshund was spayed two days ago. I did quite a bit of looking around/researching/reading reviews about recovery collars. Not knowing what would work best, we bought two different types. One was a soft cone, The Comfy Cone, which was also good. The difference is that with The Comfurt Collar, she has complete visibility, can easily eat and drink, can walk around comfortably with no problem, and it totally prevents her from getting to her stitches. An added bonus, it is so soft that when she lies down or sleeps, it’s like a pillow. I would give it 10 stars if I could!! (One thing to note is that if this was a surgery that involved the back quarter of the body (at least for a dachshund), this collar would not prevent access.)

I was impressed by the quality of this collar. Much nicer for the animal than a plastic cone. However my dog is persistent and tricky and after several days she found a way to compress the collar and reach her leg wound anyways.

This was the exact item that I was looking for however it did not work. My dog was able to reach his paws and being licking right away. I think this is too soft for what I need.
