This innovative sterilizer features a unique twist-flow design that guides water flow more evenly through the main body. The result is increased exposure to ultraviolet light, which improves the treatment of unwanted algae and damaging microorganisms. The Coralife Turbo-Twist model is easy to install and can be used with hang-on or inline applications.

I had been thinking about getting a UV sterilizer for a while for my tank. I’d had algae bloom issues off and on for about a year. The latest one just would NOT go away. I tried everything I could, including frequent small water changes and blacking out the tank, but I couldn’t get rid of the green water that had become so thick that I could barely see the fish, let alone anything else in the tank. 48 hours after setting up the sterilizer, my water is crystal clear. The tank looks better than it ever has, and I’m sure the fish are breathing easier, too. So far, I’m very happy with it. Just make sure that you’re aware that this sterilizer will need a pump, since it doesn’t have one built in, and you’ll need the appropriate sized tubing. It’s not difficult to set up, and it works well.
This was an exact replacement on my 135 gal freshwater tank. Had recurring leak troubles with the current turbo-twist and was really aggravated with it, but also realized how many years I had run it. In the end went with this again as it does work great if you are lucky enough to avoid the niggling leaks. Chewy new to me but great to deal with.
Bought this in a pinch to combat dinoflagellates in my reef. It did the job for dinos and after 1 month of use took off my tank to find it leaked water into the sleeve with the uv bulb. Got lucky and caught it early on. Would invest in a better unit if I have to buy another.
It definitely killed the flukes and ick. I opened it up for maintenance and found I had been burning from the main light socket melted plastic and wiring
Ran for a couple months and the oring failed between the electric side and light and trashed my entire aquarium. Had to throw away $4-5k in coral and fish. Do not buy this item unless you want to start completely over.
This thing not only rusted but started to leak into the bulb area within 6 months. Because of this I lost hundreds of dollars in corals.
Definitely cheaply made for the price. Not seeing a difference in water quality. Hopefully it’s working and doesn’t leak.
Do not fit to my aquarium and I want to return and refund
Purchased this sterilizer for a 60 gallon tank. It did not work, so I tried to request a return through their return module and did not get any feedback from the company. I am still stuck with something I cannot use.
Thank you the special price on these - I bought 8 of them for my fish room Thank you so much
