Country Brook Design Replacement Fence Receiver Dog Collar, Blue Bone Camo

I have now bought 2 rounds of 2 of these collars. I have two Boxer pups that are a bit over a year old. They romp and play a lot, sometimes ferociously. These collars have been both great and a pain. Pros: The materials of the collar is really nice. It’s soft, it’s pliable; yet it stands up to daily abuse of clawing, pawing, biting, tugging, etc during play. They fit the receivers perfectly. Lastly, they’re stylish. Much better than the Plain Jane collars the receivers come with. Cons: My main gripe is that the collars are CONSTANTLY slipping out of adjustment. Rarely a day goes by that I don’t have to take them off, resize them and put them back on. Their normal activity through the day agitates the collar— and because the outer jacket is kind of slick, the buckles won’t hold the collar tight, it allows it to slack off and the prongs of the receiver box lose contact with the dog’s neck— and when the prongs lose contact, no corrections are given when the dog tries to leave the containment area. It essentially renders the collar useless. If you don’t notice this loosening of the collar and this don’t fix it, the collar eventually completely comes apart and falls off. I’ve invested a lot of money in this containment system and while I don’t mind paying the $17-$18 per collar, extra; I expect a product that performs at a higher level. I like the styles and colors. I like the fact that it works seamlessly with the receivers. I absolutely dislike the fact that the function of the collar is so poor. I had these issues with the first set until they eventually became so worn I decided to replace them with these newer ones in hopes that maybe I just got an off product. However, it is appears that this issue is the standard rather than an exception because the second set gives me the same problems. Saddens me to say, but I will not be buying another collar from this brand.
