Is this stand suitable for a blue k gold macaw or too small?

This feeder perch measures 19.9 X 18.3 X 50 inches (Length x Width x Height). It is ideal for small to medium size parrots such as Caiques, Conures, Pionus, African Greys, Eclectus, Mini Macaws, Amazons, Smaller Cockatoos, and similar sized birds.

What is the full width of the - how wide- is the silver tray on the stand?

OK for the price

Took about 20 minutes to put it together; had to muscle one of the uprights because it seemed a tiny bit shorter than the others. I should have read the reviews here; I have a B&G macaw. The picture depicts the stand to be larger in relation to the bird sitting on it. Cups are just under 3.5" in diameter and 3.25" deep, so if I have just a little bit of food in the bottom, my macaw doesn't like to shove his head in there to pick it up. I will need to find a shallower cup that fits. I also wonder if replacement wood perches are available. If it gets chewed up, I'll have to cut a dowel and cut slots out of the ends to make it fit. Pretty sturdy, but I think I'll weigh the bottom down with something so it doesn't tip.

It is nice to be able to move the bird around the house so she can be in other rooms where we are. I could only give 3 stars because design modifications are needed. Our bird quickly came down from the perch to the drop pan. We had to put PVC pipe over the support rods to keep her on the perch. It would also be nice to have the perch at a much higher level (birds like height). Having the perch higher would have the added benefit of the poop being up and out of sight. There needs to be more distance between the perch and the poop pan because when the bird shakes her wings, the small feathers and debris in the pan goes everywhere.

Poorly milled, screw missing, bad design

One of the screw holes was significantly smaller than the screw. We pounded it in with a mallet. They didn't provide enough screws; fortunately, we had some. And

The wooden perch is for a teradactyl, or some such giant bird. And wouldn't it be nice to have a place on the upper hook to connect a perch? I hung a cotton swing from the bottom of the hook but my conure wants to be at the tippy top, and can't get a good grip on the metal. I'll see what I can jerry rig to salvage it, but this might be headed to the dump

Is this a high end perch, no. Is it what you would expect for the price, yes. Not the quality of my high end perch but also not nearly as large. I needed something inexpensive on the small size to suit my current living situation and this is perfect. It is a bit wobbly feeling but my Congo African Grey’s weight doesn’t seem to affect it. Took about 20 minutes for my husband and I to put together, not difficult. My only complaint would be that the bowls sit below the perch, way below. They need to sit about 1 1/2” higher, my grey will never lean this far forward to drink. Plan on making a small modification to make them sit higher. Overall, for the price, it is what I expected and will serve its purpose well. NOTE: It definitely is NOT for large birds. The manufacturer should not show a Macaw pictured on it.
