This product is so neat, I love it! It arrived quickly, about 4 days from when it first shipped. It unfortunately comes disassembled BUT the instructions and parts and clearly labeled and the wood is pre-drilled so all you really need is a screwdriver to put it together. Although a drill makes it quicker. We had it put together in under 15 minutes. We then found a place that had sufficient sun for the solar panel and shade/cover for the birds to feel safe to visit. Attaching it to the pole was simple, it comes with Velcro attachments and its pretty sturdy as is but we added a few screws for safe measure. Downloading the app, and setting up the camera to the WiFi was very simple as well, it comes with a QR code and from there you just sign in to the WiFi and it’s ready! The app sends us notifications of when an animal visits and it captures a picture so we can look at later. Unfortunately it doesn’t record a video to watch later - just picture. However, there is also a live feed to watch the birds eating, it even has a light you can turn on or sound an alarm. I used that feature a few times when a rat visited the feeder at night and it scared it off! You can set up the camera to “sleep” at certain times so as to conserve battery such as at night. It took maybe a day for any bird to visit after its intial set up. We even had a baby opossum visit one night. The feeder holds about 3lbs of food and is very simple to refill - just open the top where it hinges and pour it right in!

Plenty of sun here in AZ. Have not put it out yet. Ran out ofbpaint and orderedd new can. Looks like it will work.

The Coziwow Smart Bird feeder is a ton of fun! :) I really enjoy it a lot. Lets get into the review! First off, during assembly, all the hard ware was neatly labeled and extras were provided incase you drop a screw or two! (its not an adventure unless someone drops some of the hardware pieces! :o) The bird feeder parts are TSCA Title 4 compliant, which means it doesn't contain formaldehyde, which is good for you, the birds, and the environment!! Looking at the detailed instructions and following them was not difficult at all, but i could understand that it would be better for a younger person to construct this if it was intended to be a gift for elderly grand parents. Id say that Coziwow seems really committed to providing high quality products! Instructions are in English and Spanish, and the only tool you need is a number 2 Phillips screwdriver (not provided)! They even provide a phone number for questions or additional help if you need it, but I didn't need to call because the instructions were pretty easy to follow. The wood was treated with some kind of lacquer to help it stay good out side, but because i live in the Arizona desert, i applied a couple coats of polyurethane to it to really make sure its safe outside in the elements and the hot sun. This Smart Bird feeder comes with a battery powered, solar rechargeable camera, which gives you great views to your "customers"! Once you download the app, the instructions are very similar to setting up any IP based cameras. You connect it to your internet, connect the solar charger ( which works awesome might I Add), and your ready to enjoy watching your birdie friends gorge themselves on delicious seed! The camera also accepts a micro SD memory card, which will take 10 second videos of your feathered friends and save them for your viewing later. I had a 32Gb Micro SD card lying around so I installed it in the slot for it so it could save the videos. The option for Cloud storage is available as well for a small monthly fee. The only thing that could be improved in the app is that it would be nice if it "remembered" the choice to use the SD card instead of the Cloud storage feature, as you have to pay to use the cloud storage feature, and it automatically comes up with your videos on the Cloud storage option, and you have to manually select to see the videos on your SD memory card every time. This only takes but 5 seconds, but still, it would be nice if it remembered your choice for next time. Included are pictures of the assembly, the app home page, and best of all, my feathered customers enjoying their treats!!!! I rate it a solid 4 out of 5 stars with all things considered! I've had it for a few weeks, but so far its really holding together and the solar charger keeps the camera battery topped off! ( i chose a location that allows the solar charger to receive plenty of natural sunlight.) I hope you add this smart bird feeder to your collection of high-end bird-watching equipment!
