Does this cage prevent starlings from getting to the suet?

This bird feeder does not prevent birds from getting into the feeder.

How do I put this together

This feeder does not require any assembly. You just remove the cardboard sleeve and it’s ready to fill with wild bird feed. Pull the roof up through the chain on both sides. Fill the feeder and then just push the roof back down the chains till it’s in place.

A little disappointed

There is not a bottom on the suet feeder, which would be fine except it is a nuisance on my balcony, leaving a message underneath.

Holds more than one suet cake

It could be my mistake, thought it held 2 cakes. Looks like it would take 4 to fill. Wondering how birds will get to it as it empties. Too large, wouldn't recom

Not what I expected

I was expecting this to be a two suet cake holder not 4 or a single brick. Since I made the error I’ve been looking for the suet bricks, they’re not sold anywhere

I was expecting this to be a two suet cake holder not 4 or a single brick. Since I made the error I’ve been looking for the suet bricks, they’re not sold anywhere. The brick needs to be square, not the standard rectangular bricks that you can commonly find. I even looked directly on the manufacturer’s website. They sell bricks but nothing to fit this. So to use, plan on 4 cakes.

Great Product No Birds

I think the product is very well made, but none of the birds will eat from it. They are just eating the regular wild bird seed.
