Squirrels like it....
I love using suet cakes, but this one smells a little bad and the squirrels seem more interested in it then the birds do. It’s a little more expensive than other suet cakes I’ve purchased so I’ll stick to the fruit based ones. Keep them cool or you’ll have a big mess! I received CashBack as part of a CashBack campaign.
Nuts for this stuff!
The birds in my yard go crazy for this stuff! The woodpeckers surprisingly were the biggest fans. We also had the issue with squirrels trying to eat it, but they weren’t able to get it out of the feeder.
Desert Birds in early spring are NOT interested.
Packaging says year round feeding but no birds have touched this. I'm wondering if it's because it gets so hot here, and the birds need Suet and the extra fats in it typically in the fall to keep warm and prepare for winter and they know it's about to get hot so they are avoiding it? just a guess. we will take it with us to our cabin in the mountains. those birds may like it better.
Fun to try for my birds
This suet is fun to try with my birds. They liked taking a try at the nuts for this. I don’t think the product is a bad price for how much you get. I liked that they were all individually wrapped. Super convenient.
Birds love it
I get mostly finches, starlings, and blue jays at my feeders. All of them attack this whenever I put out a new one. Took away one star due to the price.
