Shumba had a lower leg incision, so I purchased these hoping we could use them to cover his incision and he wouldn't need the cone. I had incentive to make it work. Initially, we had the problem many folks have, where the stretch and shape of his shoulders causes the pjs to ride down and he steps right out of it. The jammies needed a non-stretchy drawstring. I opened the collar at the shoulder seams, reinforced the area so the collar does not unravel there. Then secured the drawstring at in the very back of the collar. The result secures the jammies at his collarbone and the stitching at the back of the neck pulls the whole garment forward and keeps it at his neck. Our vet was very impressed with these jammies because they extend below the knee and are thin for the Houston weather. I gave them the CuteBone brand name and where I purchased them. But I need to get in here and specify that they only work because I "fixed" them.
