What if I pulled off multiple ticks? Can you submit them all in one kit?

You may submit multiple ticks, but the ticks must be from a single host (person or pet).

I was told to drown my tick in bleach so that’s where she is. Can I still have her tested

Even soaked in bleach the tick can be tested. The lab breaks it down to the DNA for testing so dead, alive, bleached, frozen or in parts, the tick can still be tested.

Does this only test for Lyme or does search for other diseases?

This kit only tests for the DNA of the pathogen in the tick that causes Lyme Disease with 99.99% accuracy.

Is this the Borrelia Burgdorferi bacteria tested as well in for the item. Also is soaking in alcohol affect results.

This is a kit for testing lyme disease; soaking in alcohol will not affect the results.

Did not get any results back

I sent this in after pulling a tick off my dog mid October. I sent in the tick as i was supposed to and filled out the card. Never heard back. Did a blood test in

Great service for peace of mind.

My 1 year old had a nymph deer tick (super small) found on her neck. Sent the tick in using this Cutter kit (it gets shipped to the Pennsylvania Tick Research lab)

My 1 year old had a nymph deer tick (super small) found on her neck. Sent the tick in using this Cutter kit (it gets shipped to the Pennsylvania Tick Research lab) where the report told me it was negative for Lyme and based on engorgement had likely had been attached for <4 hours. Regardless I will continue to keep an eye out for symptoms but it definitely gave me some peace of mind. You also have the option to upgrade to advanced test results at anytime which is a nice option. I will likely buy this kit again!

So so useful

I just moved to the US county with the most lyme, and it is tick central here. So far I've pulled a tick off myself, one off a friend and one off my dog. These tests

I just moved to the US county with the most lyme, and it is tick central here. So far I've pulled a tick off myself, one off a friend and one off my dog. These tests are so great! The lab's turnaround is 3 days, exactly as promised. It is such a relief to know the tick that bit you isn't carrying lyme. No needless course of antibiotics "just in case." Idk why these kits aren't available in every pharmacy.

They should have mailed results

I forgot to put form in but they had number and self address stamped envelope i had to call them two weeks after i mailed it for results which was positive

Have used this multiple times

I’ve bought this a couple times. You can test up to 5 ticks from the same host which was nice when I found 2 ticks on my dog as then I didn’t need to purchase 2

I’ve bought this a couple times. You can test up to 5 ticks from the same host which was nice when I found 2 ticks on my dog as then I didn’t need to purchase 2 separate tests. I just had my 3rd tick tested. Results come pretty quickly and they keep you in the loop through the process. No complaints

Not worth it

I actually took a tick of my sons face. When I sent it in they said “this is not a tick” Well maybe they aren’t familiar with the teeny tiny California ticks because

I actually took a tick of my sons face. When I sent it in they said “this is not a tick” Well maybe they aren’t familiar with the teeny tiny California ticks because I had to take several off with tweezers. They had legs. Wouldn’t come off without tweezers. The butt sticking out. They were ticks even though super tiny. No I wasn’t offered a refund from the company. They said if I wanted the “tick” back I needed to pay for shipping. I feel like they didn’t even test it because it was flea sized or something.
