Kitties seem depressed....

I have two girls in early stage CKD and they need to gain weight. This med DOES increase their appetite. However, I am noticing lethargy, depression and possibly urinary retention. I will discuss with my vet, but I don't think this is going to work for them.

worth the time

my vet did not have checked with their "pharmacy" and they were twice what you all charged, i have been buying from you for over 10 yrs. food toys, cat stuff you name it. awesome customer service also!

GREAT MEDICATION!!!

I rescue cats and have for many years used Cyproheptadine for those which, for various reasons, either don't eat or don't eat enough. This med works like gangbusters. I give it with a small glob of baby food chicken or turkey to disguise the pill's taste and then slowly introduce about 1 ml of low-sodium chicken broth to make sure the pill is swallowed. Both the broth and the baby food are well liked, so the pill is tolerated.

Tastes terrible

I tried the pills and had it compounded to liquid. My cat finds both extraordinarily distasteful She drools+tries to spit it out rather than swallowing She hides from me all day rather than take it It didn't increase her weight
