My oldest outside cat's fur got really matted-up this summer. It was so bad, I bought a few brushes and other products to help get the matts out. None worked very well, until I bought this fish oil. I started giving him one pump of the fish oil in his canned food and a little water at dinner time. It blends in best with seafood. After a couple of weeks I noticed that some of his matts were falling off his fur. I figure the fish oil is making his fur soft, and he's able to either scratch at the matts to dislodge it, or he's biting at the matt to get it off. The fur on his back is changing from a matted mess to soft and cuddly. The price might seem high, but the bottle is large and it goes a long way, and does a great job.

Saves my cat's skin

One of my cats has terrible skin that he would scratch at constantly. I mean the fur will come off and it will be a bloody mess and we did not know how to help him. We tried baths, ointments and sprays but nothing helped him. I read that fish oil is good for cats skin/coats. I chose this one to try. After 2 weeks of putting it on their food hisbskin starting improving! The wound healed (the first time I was of course still treating it as a wound). His skin no longer gets to be an itchy bloody mess and I can rest easy knowing he's not hurting himself. I know it's this product helping because I ran out at one point and dint buy another one. After 2 weeks or so his skin was really starting to get bad again. Immediately got another and saw improvements his skin! Now at first all 3 of my cats did not want to eat this. The best way I found to get them to eat it was to mix it in with their dinner (wet and dry food mixed together with some chicken broth for extra hydration). I think the mixture helps hide the taste. Either way I recommend this product. With 3 cats the one bottle lasts just under 3 months (1 pump per cat per day).

My cats are not rejecting this like they did other oils. Hopefully it takes care of the dry skin issue I have with 2 of the 3 cats. I have been using it for a week so far. I give a good squeeze on to a dish before I add the canned cat food on top. They are cleaning it up.

Cats hate

My cats won't touch the stuff even if I mix it in with their food. They hate it. I wish they didn't but you can't force a cat to eat something they don't like.

We have an 85 pound pit mix that we rescued as a puppy. As she grew, she was diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia and has since had 2 TPLO surgeries. One on each of her hind knees. She is now about to turn 3 and we have been looking for a supplement that would help with her joints. A colleague of mine suggested we try this fish oil and I'm glad we did! Not only does it help with joints, but it has other benefits such as for the heart, eyes and skin. When I first heard about it my initial thought was that it might smell bad and be messy. Fortunately, it has no odor AND our dog actually enjoys licking it out of her bowl by itself. No mess at all and it's so easy to feed. Just pump the amount you need right into the dish. The other thing that appeals to me is that Deley uses human grade, sustainably sourced ingredients with no additives or toxins, it was a no brainer to try it. It's been about a week and a half since we started her on it, and so far, it appears that Rhi is scratching less and her coat is softer and shinier. Her gait is even and we haven't seen any stiffness in her hind end. I look forward to continuing with this product and our sweet girl reaping the benefits!
