Stronger than most hay bags.

Pretty durable, but the straps break after 6 months or so. This is the 3rd one I've replaced.

This hay bag is very durable. The larger grid openings are better for larger horses. The bag keeps less palatable grass hay from being spread, stepped on, and fouled on rainy days. It slows the eating less than the bags with the smaller openings, but is less frustrating for larger horses.

Best slow feeder I found for my senior draft

I tried many slow feeder hay bags and this one works best for my senior draft with big lips. He struggled with slow feeder bags with much smaller holes like 1" and

I tried many slow feeder hay bags and this one works best for my senior draft with big lips. He struggled with slow feeder bags with much smaller holes like 1" and 2" holes but has done very well with the larger holes. I read an article that senior horses and horses with big lips like giraffes often can have a hard time with slow feeder hay bags with smaller holes. This bag greatly slows down his eating so it lasts several hours

Nicely made, easy for them to get hay

Squares Too Large

I had this bag filled with hay hanging in a 3 horse slant load trailer. My horse pawed and got his hoof/leg stuck in the hay bag and he was panicking with his leg

I had this bag filled with hay hanging in a 3 horse slant load trailer. My horse pawed and got his hoof/leg stuck in the hay bag and he was panicking with his leg hanging in the hay bag. I had a very sharp knife and cut the straps holding the bag, once it fell my horse was able to put his hoof down and he calmed down. I was able to cut the square and remove his hoof from the hay bag. The squares are so large that a horse can easily get a hoof through a square. I will only use the small squares in the future for safety reasons.

Derby slow feeder

Tho my horse is not thrilled to have a slow feeder and did his best to destroy the feeder it has withstood the attack and I couldn't be happier.
