I see that there are vent holes; but is the material itself waterproof? Meaning can these bags sit in rain without the hay getting fully saturated?

This product is made out of waterproof fabric and can be used in the rain.

Most of my 2 string bales weigh 60 to 75 pounds and my 3 string are even heavier. Your bag is only rated to carry 50 pounds. Will this rip with my heavier bales?

This bale cover is made of a heavy-duty poly/nylon material to hold 50 pounds of hay maximum. Using bales above 50 pounds could damage the cover.

Can I wash this in the washing machine? My cat peed in it :(

This product should be hand-washed only.

Will this hold a 4 string bale? I don't need to carry it, so the weight capacity isn't relevant, just the size.

This holds one full size bale of hay, including California size. The dimensions are 44 x 20 x 16 inches.

BROKE DURING FIRST USE

The Extra Large is not big enough for the average Hay Bale. This broke upon first use. Not planning to shop at Chewy until I receive a refund.

Great Hay Bag

So I own a cute Holland lop Rabbit and this is great for storing a bale of hay. It’s seems like good quality. I would definitely recommend this for any pet parent

Check the size of your bale before buying

I made the mistake to believe that XL meant it would fit the bale of hay that I buy at a local feed store. I purchased two and asked the feed store staff to load

I made the mistake to believe that XL meant it would fit the bale of hay that I buy at a local feed store. I purchased two and asked the feed store staff to load it up. To my disappointment it didn’t fit and now I’ve wasted my money. It does appear to be good quality cover but I’ll really never know that because it’s too small. It shouldn’t be labeled XL.

Rabbit Approves!

Great for rabbit owners too! I use it as storage and let my rabbit access it throughout the day. Just a quick zip and I can move it if needed. It seems to be holding

other great uses

I purchased this bag for storage of my over flowing horse blanket issue! It holds 6 blankets- 360 gr-450 gr. It is very durable, heavyweight waterproof fabric.
