I was considering buying a cheaper hay net but my horse can be fairly rough with things so I wanted to get a good quality one. I was glad I did because this one is super sturdy and great quality. Also it opens wide so it’s easy to load hay into. Very happy with the purchase.

I've tried many slow feeder hay bags and this is the best one by far because of the large size holes. I found an article years ago that said the senior horses and drafts with big lips have a harder time with smaller sized holes. This 3" x 3.5" sized holes is perfect for my 21 year old draft with big lips plus very sturdy. The velcro closing at the top does pop open especially when you put 3 flakes of hay in it but I just tie it with some baling twine and it's fine. I also screwed 2 eye hooks in the wall to hang it as low as I can plus another one at the bottom so the bag doesn't keep flipping around. After a lot of analyzing how he's eating from this particular bag, I feel this size is perfect for him.

Love this hay bag. It fits 3 flakes of hay nicely. I will say over 2 flakes full and the Velcro closure on the top won’t hold. But not a big deal really with how you can change (crisscross) the top straps as needed. The 2 top handle straps are strong and have a good metal clip on them and you can easily attach to just about anywhere. Perfect hay bag to keep them busy eating over the real cold nights. I’ve gotten compliments on my hay bags too. I had a previous one that my Appaloosa ripped down on day one. This type I bought one for both my horses and it works awesome. High quality and strong materials. I love it! Highly recommend
