I have an incredibly short backed Arab and for the day-to-day work in the dressage saddle I wanted a pad that would look neater and not cover so much up. It's a good pad the only thing I did not factor in, it's a bit more rounded on the front panel and not as straight a profile as I might have liked but other than that it's great.
