Do these bags have a reinforced top (e.g., not like a typical haynet)so it's easy to get the hay inside?

It’s made of heavy-duty 1200D nylon and reinforced with 174 cross stitches to stand up to your horse’s strong teeth. A fuzzy fastener top closure keeps horses from eating out of the top of the bag.

Anyone use these for alfalfa? Flakes are hard to shake out, so I wonder how difficult it would be to get the alfalfa through the holes. My stallions get impatient with the Tough-1 solid fabric nylon/cordura bags with the muzzle size hole - they just rip them down to get the hay out.

Well built!

I bought one to try out and they are made well. After a week of use, it still looks new. I plan on buying more now that it's past the test for the other horses

These bags are saving me half of my hay bill, prior to these bags my horses were picking out the choice morsels of hay and wasting the rest of the floor. Now that I started using these bags it really slows them down so that they need to work on getting it out thus eating it all. It also keeps them more occupied so they don't get into trouble !! I chose the larger size so that I can load two flakes in them if I chose. I strongly recommend these.. Less Mess, slower feeding, a great product.

Awesome hay bag!

I have had this hay bag for over a year and use them daily in my horses stalls. They have are durable, easy to fill & hold a good amount of hay- @ 1/3 of a square

I have had this hay bag for over a year and use them daily in my horses stalls. They have are durable, easy to fill & hold a good amount of hay- @ 1/3 of a square bail! I installed eye hooks and use carabiners to hang them on the eye hook. The Velcro top is useless for my purposes because I stuff them so full and once the hay gets in the Velcro it’s just not worth the fight. Bags hooks and material has stood up to all of my horses- drafts & pony’s!
