Good suction, brittle parts
I purchased this specifically for my stairs. Based on other reviews, I knew I'd need an extension cord. I was surprised that the rotational lock on the brush head was so brittle, and broke after a few uses. The suction is good, but I'm disappointed that I have to hold the brush head now. I often had to hold it anyway, because the brush head separated from the main vacuum pretty easily if you were pulling it. I'm pleased with the overall performance, but using it is not a one-hand operation.
DOG hair
So glad I bought this. Nothing I have tried in the past works well getting dog hair off my couch until now. Works great.
Not the BEST
This is my third attempt at finding the perfect vacuum cleaner for my stairs (18 steps total). The crevice tool was missing and per booklet, there should be a hose for that tool. Not there!!! Takes a lot of elbow strength to run this vac back and forth. Old age catching with me!!! Bottom line: I will keep it simply because I refuse to return another one. Does the job.
Broke on first use-attempt
When I took the gray piece off to put on/remove the brushroll, the plastic broke, so I have to hold the brushroll on the vauum when I am using it sadly. It is a nice vacuum, regardless. Just a heads up, the cord is on the short side, so don't expect to be able to go completely up/down your staircase with this vacuum without an extension cord.
Only one disappointment
This hand vacuum is exactly what I was looking for, to vacuum my carpeted stairs. But the cord is way too short. I only cleaned about a third of the stairs before running out of cord. I added an extension cord. Still couldn't finish the job. In order to vacuum all the steps, it is necessary to use and extension cord, AND move the plug from the upstairs outlet to the downstairs outlet.

I was pleasantly surprised with how powerful this hand held vacuum is. It's exactly what I needed.
works great
No one seemed to be selling this perfect vac for carpeted stairs. It works great. Today, I took off the brush, flipped down the red extension tube and vacuumed the vents for my close dryer. Made the stairs look 10 years younger, when I combined it with a very stiff brush for the edges and folds. I brushed the edges hard enough to pick up a lot of kitty hair, then vacuumed. Voila!
Works Great
Loud, but works great. Gets those corners and tough places. Use for stray litter and for the stairs.
Great little vacuum
Lots of power, great for sucking up cat litter, and with 7 litter boxes in the house, a lot of litter ends up on the floor. The motor's a bit loud, but that's a small negative compared to the superb job it does of cleaning the floor, whether it's hardwood or carpet. I highly recommend this vac!
