How do I remove the roller/brush part from the Dirt Devil?

The brushroll is not intended to be removed from the nozzle on the Dirt Devil Scorpion+ Corded Handheld Vacuum Cleaner. To clean the brushroll, the consumer would need to use scissors to cut any hair or string free from the brushroll and pull the hair/string out with either their fingers or some tool similar to tweezers or possibly needle nose pliers.

Very disappointed

I bought this to clean up my downstairs floor without having to bring my other vacuum around the whole house. At first I was impressed, but now it's just not working. Regardless of how deep a clean I got, dust just blows through the air vents at me. I hear rattling in the motor as if dust or litter or something is in there. And the power button intermittently will get stuck and I can't even use it. No joke, I came downstairs to try it out since a couple of days ago the button was stuck. Worked perfectly and tried it multiple times in row to see if it was fluke. I decided to go clean the filter and get down to work and then it got stuck again... I like the idea, but this wasn't it.

New and improved Dirt Devil

We had a very old Dirt Devil, about 25 years old, which just died. I was totally surprised to find a replacement on Chewy! The vacuum works great. We love the attachment for crevice cleaning & carpeted steps. The only item I wish it had is a brush on the attachment end.

Good vacuum

I purchased it for my carpeted stairs and it did the job. I wish the cord were longer. I had to use an extension cord. My carpet pile is thick and I had to vacuum in one direction as it dragged when I tried to go back and forth, but it got the carpet nice and clean.

Good suction, brittle parts

I purchased this specifically for my stairs. Based on other reviews, I knew I'd need an extension cord. I was surprised that the rotational lock on the brush head was so brittle, and broke after a few uses. The suction is good, but I'm disappointed that I have to hold the brush head now. I often had to hold it anyway, because the brush head separated from the main vacuum pretty easily if you were pulling it. I'm pleased with the overall performance, but using it is not a one-hand operation.
