Much More Fun in the Sun

Hi. My name is Nubbin. I'm a 10 month old piebald miniature dachshund sun worshipper. I LOVE to go outside and sun my belly. Unfortunately for me, my little tummy is naturally light and pink. Mom limited my time in the sun so my little belly wouldn't get sunburned. Then she got Divine Canine sunscreen and now I can lie out in the sun a lot longer with my Divine Canine sunscreen on! It protects me from burning, moisturizes my skin, and smells good, too! It's also non-toxic. Please see my pictures and note how pink my belly is. That's its natural indoor color, so you can understand why my mom insists on safety first when I'm out in the sun. Thanks Divine Canine and Chewy!

I think this product will need to be used over a period of time. It is a SPF sun protectant. The results don't happen overnight. I have red dogs. Their coats are subject to sun bleaching. What I liked: ~The pump spray nozzle does a good job of providing a fine mist over my dog's coat. ~The next day my dog's coat was soft. ~The Divine Canine Daily Supreme is water resistant and won't damage coral reefs. What I would improve: ~The unscented spray does have a scent. ~The day of application my dog's coat felt a bit dry.

This is a very chalky product that doesn't apply well. The spray nozzle would be better if it had a dip to position your finger to align the spray hole with intended direction of application. Does not rub clear onto skin or fur. Lastly, the sprayer clogged up on me by the 3rd application attempt. Cannot really attest to how well it works to provide protection on bare, shaved skin.

This is an excellent sunscreen for dogs, especially those with white or light-colored coats, which are more susceptible to sunburn. Dogs with thin fur or exposed skin areas—like the nose, ears, and belly—can benefit greatly from sun protection during walks, beach days, or time outdoors. This formula is gentle, non-toxic, and safe for pets, providing peace of mind while helping to prevent skin damage and irritation caused by harmful UV rays.

I have an Australian Shepherd with a white bridge and pink nose who loves the pool. The instructions say to spray on the dog but I found it better to spray in my hand and then apply. There is very little scent which is great when applying directly to a dog's nose. The liquid is white but thin enough to spread easily. My dog hasn't too uncomfortable with me putting it on, I think the lack of smell really helped.
Sunscreen for dogs who like to play in the sun

Sunscreen for dogs is a great idea but not sure of it's efficacy for my dog personally. When outside by the pool, he normally stays in the shade or under the porch. I usually put a sun shirt on him because of his fair skin and thinner hair so this is a great option to not wear the shirt. I didn't give it 5 stars because I honestly can't speak to it's effectiveness.

I am using the SPF 30 by Divine Canine on both of my Corgis. I use it on the inside of their ears when they are in the pool. It rubs in nicely and isn't super greasy. It doesn't seem to bother them at all and once we are done in the pool, I simply use a wet wipe to clean up any residue from the inside of their ears. This would be great for very short haired breeds.
Recommend for Sunburn susceptible pups!

This is a great product! I had no idea that there were safe sunscreen products for pets. My dog loves to bask in the sun. Since we live in a high summer uv area I wanted to try this. He lays on his back exposing his belly and I have to time him so that he doesn't burn. This product has been a lifesaver for him. He can now enjoy more time in the sun. It has a very mild, nice coconut aroma and goes on smoothly. All in all, very good for pups that burn easily. I would recommend this
Not Workable For My Golden Retrievers

I like “the idea” of this product, but it wasn’t workable with my golden retrievers. Most notably, the instructions say to keep the product away from the dog’s nose and mouth. I’d planned to use the product on the dogs’ snouts (where the fur is thin and the skin is more susceptible to sunburn), but in light of the instructions, I didn’t. In other areas, the dogs would start to lick where I’d applied the lotion, so the lotion got in their mouths and tongues and didn’t stay where I’d applied it.
Seems to work well

My dog has dark brown fur, so it’s difficult to tell whether this is helping. I can tell a little bit on her stomach, where she gets a lot of sun spots during the summer when we walk outside extensively. So, I would say it works, but would be easier to tell with a dog that has light fur and less of it.
