Do your dogs try to lick them off?

Answer by ChewyJan 01, 2026
While all pets are different, if a dog does lick the pad, it may reduce its adhesion and cause it to come off sooner.

How long do the pads stick to their paws?

Answer by ChewyJan 01, 2026
Typically, the Dog Paw Pad Protectors last around 3–5 days, but this can vary depending on the dog’s activity level and exposure to water or other liquids.

What if paw size is between mentioned sizing - do you go larger or stay smaller?

So far these seem to be working out quite nicely. They are very sticky and a little hard to apply to squirming dogs, but Iassume I will get the hang of it. The dogs do not seem to notice that they are on their paws, nor do they mess them. My one dachshund with weak hindquarters is easily able to walk across hardwood floors and can pick herself up from a sitting position. I did trim my dog's nails first and made sure that their feet were clean and dry. I'm anxious to see how long they stay on their paw pads but so far they seem to be doing very well.
