Does this rug remain flat on a hardwood floor? I have arthritis in my knees and need something that I won't slip on. My new GSD service dog will be arriving soon here in often wet Seattle, so appreciate a quick answer. Thank You!!

Answer by ChewyJul 31, 2019
This doormat will remain flat on hardwood floor. It also has a non-skid backing to prevent it from skidding or moving.

Can you leave this outside, like on a deck?

Answer by ChewyOct 10, 2018
This product can be used indoors and outdoors on a deck.

What are the measurements

Answer by ChewyMay 25, 2020
This doormat measures approximately 60 inches long x 30 inches wide x 1.2 inches thick.

How long should this run be absorbent? I purchase two rugs a couple of years ago and they aren't doing their job anymore. I have muddy foot prints all over the house. Is it time to replace?

Answer by ChewyDec 26, 2019
As a doormat, the lifespan can vary by placement and environment. In a New England climate with placement on a main entrance, one can expect about 2 years (8 full seasons) before it is damaged beyond use. In a West Coast-type climate (drier with less severe winter) the Dirty Dog Doormat can experience longer lifespans.

Soft and a nice size

I would give it more stars but I do have to fuss with it a bit to keep it flat. Does a good job to absorb water, haven't put it through the wash yet.

I LOVE this runner! I had an earlier version of it that didn't have the same backing and it used to slip around on the floor. I really liked the look and feel of that one but having it move around was a bit frustrating. THIS RUNNER has a great backing that doesn't slip on the tile. It stays in place and is comfy and cozy on my feet. Love how it doesn't move when my dogs walks/trots over it. LOVE THIS RUNNER!

Way too expensive for what it is

I would not buy this again. It was far too expensive for what it is. I’d buy again for HALF the cost

I recently ordered 2 of these great mats, however I was dismayed at the waste of resources when they arrived today on separate large boxes. I did some measuring and the large box would have held 9 of them (more if squished) and the smaller box could have held 4. Waste of boxes, shipping and space in the FedEx truck. I called to voice my concerns and was told that the shipping department/warehouse had their way of doing things

Very Absorbent

The backing of this rug is not nearly enough non-slip for me. I had to get a muddy mat.

I have a lot of Dirty Dog mats, some of which I have had for a number of years. The runner costs twice as much as the Dog Gone one, so I thought I would give it a try, since the surface looked the same and it also has a backing that grips. You get what you pay for. The rubber backing is flimsy at best and because of that it also will not hold its shape. I have tried it on wood, tile and thick very low carpet and every time you step on it, it moves. I can't afford to leave it down anywhere as a mat, because it is a constant tripping hazard. I guess I will fold it up and see if a cat wants to sleep on it.
