should I get med large for a husky lab mix or extra large

Would this collar be appropriate for an 8 week old pup??

This collar is designed for adult dogs. A puppy is generally considered an adult when they stop growing taller. Typically for small breeds this is between 9-12 months, medium breeds around 12 months and large breeds closer to 15 months.

is this a plastic or old-fashioned metal buckle? i have 2 dogs and they chew the plastic buckles off each other's collars.

Name plate detached

The parts used to hold the name tag in place failed after 6 months. The buckle for keeping the collar sized failed 2 months thereafter. Collar not subjected to abuse

The writing ID is a bit small. I think when trying to find the ID of a dog, it should be very prominent.

Lasted just over a year

The tag is held on by what can only be described as 2 ponytail ties. Needless to say one finally gave up and now the tag is dangling. I needed this because my boy

The tag is held on by what can only be described as 2 ponytail ties. Needless to say one finally gave up and now the tag is dangling. I needed this because my boy digs under fences and i didn't want his tag to snag and come off, leaving him with no identity. Back to the drawing board
