Really easy to set up, good fabric, and almost out-of-the-box ready to use. Almost. Other reviewers ran into the same issue with the soft (plastic) connectors. Some of the connectors were tighter on the wood ends so they were ok when attaching two poles; most of them were really loose so the poles kept on bending at weird angles. I ended up just going to the hardware store and buying some 1/4" x 36" dowels to replace the default poles and that worked a lot better. Otherwise, I really appreciate the minimal packaging and the overall look. Just wished that the poles were all 36" long rather an two separate poles you need to connect together.

The sticks for it came in two separate pieces, a small piece and a long piece. The long pieces were already in the teepee, but to attach to the small pieces you have to squeeze them out. Then the sticks are all different circumferences, so when you go to attach them with the little plastic tube, some of them don’t fit. There’s really no reason for the sticks to be in two pieces, you could just have them in one piece and either have them already in the teepee so you just have to tie the top, or separate so you just have to slide them in. It’s really cute, the cats really like it, but the setup was incredibly frustrating and it did not need to be.

It came with a missing Pole and the little slide connectors most of them were missing and the one that did come barely moves so you couldn't put together and after

Perfect size for adult cat

connector between pole slides / doesn't hold together
There are not 4 poles.. it's actually 8... 4 "long" ones.. with a white plastic connector near the top end, with 4 "short" poles that slide into each connector

This connector is under the canvas so you can't see it in the picture. One of those connectors isn't adhered to the pole so it slides freely up and down and doesn't hold the shorter pole in place. Everything else is really well made. Avoiding those connectors would have been a better design, just having each pole longer instead of having to be pieced together.

My little girl is about 35#, but she loves curling up into a tiny ball and hiding. So I figured this would be perfect! The crate mat she uses is 35” and she doesn’t

The crate mat she uses is 35” and she doesn’t take nearly the whole thing when she curls up so I figured these dimensions would be perfect. Nope. Poor thing would only stick her head in to get a treat bribe, but that’s it. She wasn’t interested, and had no room to enter and turn around to even curl up. Oh well. It’s still cute, and seems durable. I didn’t like the way the poles connect, and there’s no bottom so it doesn’t quite hold the shape right.

Beanie loves it now and goes in on his own now. It will be great for when he gets scared by outside noises. It is super easy to put together in seconds. We love it.
