Septic systems are designed for a specific amount of wastewater and that does not include animal waste. Has anyone confirmed with experts that this is a good practice or just shifting the problem?

Doggie Doo Drain Pet Waste Removal was developed by a plumber. You are putting Dog waste where you put Human waste. It breaks down the same and keeps it out of landfills.
Does this product only work with septic systems or will it work with systems connected to the sewer system as well?
Answer by • Mar 21, 2020
This item works with sewer/septic clean-out.
I have a Labrador. As you know, they have large waste. The opening on this looks small in the picture. Will it handle large waste? Thanks.
Answer by • Feb 11, 2020
The opening at the top of the cylinder is 10 ½ inches in diameter (outside edge to outside edge) and is intended for dog's of all breed sizes.
What if dirt or grass gets mixed in? Will that cause clog?
Answer by • Apr 02, 2020
It is preferable not get grass or dirt inside the drain. The septic normally helps break down waste, and these items should break down, but it is not recommended putting large amounts of grass or dirt down the septic each time pet waste is being dropped in.
