I'm so happy to find this!!! I have 1 small, 1 medium, and 1 large dog. That's a lot of poop! No way was I going to dig a 4' deep hole then spend money regularly to purchase chemicals for a doggy septic tank. Putting waste in a garbage can outside was nasty and smelly. I was putting the waste in the woods behind my house until I found out doing such attracts rodents and could contaminate ground water. This installed easily and is easy to use. Much more sanitary than my other ways. Personally I don't use a hose to flush it. I have been just been waiting until I do laundry, scoop the poop, then when the washer drains, poop goes away. My washer is really close to the clean out this is installed on, so it offers some pressure. I did find to be careful not to put too much poop at one time because of the risk of blocking the sewer line. I can't attest to how it holds up over the years, but after a month, it seems to be holding up fine. Thrilled I found this!!!
I was between this system and the 'dig a hole' one. So thankful we chose this one!! Easy install, easy use. Works perfectly with our two large dogs! My youngest son is easily able to collect poo, dump it in the funnel and flush it out! No smell, no FLYS, no problem!! Also, our largest chewer has not even bothered it!
Doggie doo drain
I bought this product before our fur baby arrived. She has been with us now for two years. It was easy to install and works very well. I have recommended it to all my friends. We keep a very clean yard and we don't have to worry about smelly dog doo in the garbage.
For the last few years I was using the "Doggie Dooley" and recently was having drainage issues on the 2nd hole I dug earlier in the year. I was reluctant to dig a third hole and have the same issues and was looking for an alternative when I came across a video for the "Doggie Doo Drain". Thinking it was an interesting concept, I talked to my hubby (retired enviromental engineer) about it and he said it sounded like a good idea to try it. I've been using it for the past week and could kick myself that I didnt discover it years ago! I could have saved myself time, money and clean-up time, no smell/flies to tend with, no bags of doody in the garbage or landfill, its hidden from view and very simple to install...
Worth its weight in gold
Works perfectly. No longer have to use trash bags for the land mines my dog leaves around the yard.
Get it if you have the available connection
I decided to try this out since I was tired of having a dedicated trash can in the back of the yard to collect my dogs’ business to only then dump it out weekly into the collection bin. It is definitely worth it.
Definitely Worth It!
This makes poop scooping so easy as long as you have your hose nearby!
I purchased this several years ago before Chewy had them. As soon as our Doodle defalcates, We pick it up with a shovel and in the Doggie Doo Drain it goes. I have even purchased these for gifts to my family who have dogs. It's clean, sanitary and we have no poop bags that stink up the garbage can or are dumped in the landfill. Awesome product, and YES I would recommend this.
This is amazing
we were looking for a good alternative to picking up 2 little dogs and 1 big dog poop and getting rid of it. We did the bag thing in the trash. Nasty. we looked a digging the hole in the ground and going that route like a dog septic system. Not very practical for us. The we found this amazing invention. Wonderful is all I can say. gets rid of the poop without smell and being too gross. When we have deposited the poop we rinse it really well. Then with the lid in place we fill the top with water and then unscrew the lid INSTANT FLUSH. :-) Never a smell even in the heat of summer and our sewer outlet is in front of the office window.
Easy to install, easy to use
No hassle to install or use. It's basically a screw on funnel that has a large opening for less mess when discarding pet waste into an existing septic system.
