We needed a feeder for our cat to redirect his attention for feeding and to get him on a set schedule. After looking at a number of feeders we chose this one for it's small size and cute design. Programming it isn't super difficult, just a bit tedious and the functionality is a little rudimentary. However, it gets the job done! It has four meal options and the ability to change the meal size for each. You can also program a recording that plays when it feeds and although the quality of the recording isn't fantastic, it works. All in all we're happy with this feeder after getting a handle on its quirks. I read a lot of reviews before making this purchase. It's not as hard to program as others said, you just need to read the instructions & then it's easy. The tough part : determining how many portions to allow. I feed my cat 3/4 cup per day. The shoot allows 5g (grams? ok, now I have to handle math). I started with 9, then bumped to 6, now I'm down to 3-4 & it's working. I LOVE the 4th meal. ** I bought this because my cat was eating too fast & throwing up so I needed to spread his meals out more.

Really like the size of this, small and unassuming. The recorded aspect works well. You do have to press the buttons firmly so don’t be discouraged thinking it’s not working. My only issue is you can’t really take it apart to give it a thorough cleaning, you can only wipe out. The detachable bowl works well, you can even use your own dish if the rim is not too high. The back up battery option was a life saver when we lost power while away. Be sure to read the instructions thoroughly, not complicated but there are a lot of options for times and feedings. It’s based on military time.

Got this to put my cat on a diet. It looks nice and isn’t too big. It took some getting used to for her, but now she knows what times she gets fed. Great for breakfast on the weekends, become am not waking up at 7 am just to feed her. Benefits both the pet and the owner!

It worked very well and I felt confident leaving my cat home while at work for 12-13 hours, or if I had to go out of town for a day or two because the feeder held a hefty supply of food. I bought the feeder because my cat doesn't know how to eat in moderation if a bowl of food is left out for him and he's a bit overweight. The feeder helped with timed eating and portion control and he was even able to loose a pound! However, we started having problems with the feeder. The recording will go off, but does not release the food anymore. I've cleaned the feeder, and ensured it wasn't clogged, but it still does not release food as it is programmed to except on rare I really liked this feeder at first. Headline says it all. I wanted a small, sleek feeder that didn't leave the food visible (my cat has been known to break into clear, plastic food bins). The specific timer and measurement system make it super easy to match your cat's feeding schedule exactly. It's quiet too and I like the stainless-steel bowl that's wide enough to not hit my cat's whiskers (which are quite long!) I could take or leave the recording option, but others may find it beneficial. My cat responds to the sound of the feeder turning on, so I don't need to record my voice calling her.

This is the perfect automatic feeder for one cat. (Are you already questioning my judgement about things, if I only have one cat? Full disclosure, this is for a medical foster cat who currently lives in the bathroom and requires small, frequent meals. Like 4 meals a day). It's easy to program - it has buttons for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night snack. You set the amount of dry kibble you want dispensed and at what time, and you can turn off any of those meal options for a normal animal that only needs twice daily feedings. It's small, tidy, and the bowl separates for washing.

I see a lot of feeders through pet sitting so I had a lot of opinions on what I wanted. Mainly, you don’t realize how huge most feeders are for cats. This little guy is perfect - sits on our nightstand without taking a ton of room. We get about 2 weeks before refilling (feeding twice a day). Also needed a stainless steel for our cat that gets black chin and wanted something not super noisy (you can hear it but it doesn’t wake you up). I also liked it had a battery backup. I was hesitant since there weren’t any reviews on any sites but we’ve had it for about a month and love it!

This is a horrible automatic feeder it does not work the right way an messes up.
