This also has a vibration mode as well. It is good for service dog training and recommended by the trainer, Shelby Godfrey!

This is the best collar for everything, especially recall. I like that I have choices on what to use and how low to make it. It has great distance, accidentally went in the lake, no problem. I’ve used ecollars for a long time, this is the best one I’ve used.

We are absolutely so happy how fast this worked in stopping our dog from pulling when walking as well as stealing pens, pencils and paper towels. It worked in one day and we only used the vibration. We keep the collar on him and the minute I show him the pager he stops the pulling on the leash and immediately drops whatever he has in his mouth. The best investment ever but you must use it consistently.

I recently started behavioral training with my unruly dogs. This mischievous pair weighed about 35lb when I adopted them... and are just as likely to misbehave at today at 65-70lbs each as they were back then. So behavioral training was long past due. The (WONDERFUL!) trainer started with the leash and martingale collars... and then proceeded with the e-collars. DANG! The e-collars worked A LOT FASTER to get my canine's attention than the other option. (And I tested the e-collars on myself before letting the trainer use them on my lovely pups - to ensure there was no "torture" involved!) A low "ping" is much like a vibrating cell phone. A higher "ping" is more like what you feel when your massage therapist initially turns on a tens machine to relieve your back or neck pain. So while those sensations might be startle my furry friends, there is no way they could result in actual pain. Unfortunately, the trainer told me I would have to invest nearly $500 for these types of e-collars. (OMG! MORE MONEY on top of the costly training sessions! Just slay me right now!) CHEWY to the RESCUE! They had the 280C Dogtra collars recommended by the trainer on sale for something like $160 each. What a steal!!! So I saved a couple hundred bucks! And as a first time CHEWY customer, I have a free gift of $20 sitting in my account. So A) I give CHEWY high grades for their pricing discounts. And B) The collars are an absolutely wonderful training tool. After only three weeks of training, my Kiddos are so much better behaved as a result of using these e-collars. They are still super-well-adjusted (but NOT out of hand) and have had no fearful or negative response to the collars. I am super happy with CHEWY'S sale price... and with the results if the devices them-selves. Happy Shopping!

perfect training collar
This ecollar is tough to beat. We tried the next level up of Dogtra and it was just too much for what we needed for training one dog. I love the vibrate button
This ecollar is tough to beat. We tried the next level up of Dogtra and it was just too much for what we needed for training one dog. I love the vibrate button right on the front. Vibration is consistent, strong, and is responsive to your push. If you push for a hot second, it vibrates a hot second. The shock button is on the side with two options. the buttons have a tactile difference so i don't need to look before pressing which is HUGE when training. one option is an elongated shock while the other is responsive to the length of you pressing the button. The vibration strength cannot be adjusted which i feel is appropriate. The shock strength can be fine tuned with 20+ levels; my 25# dog stays around a 7. Please be sure to enlist the support of an experience dog trainer when starting to use any ecollar. Your dogs outcome relies on a solid experience from the jump; this is not something to dabble in based off some youtube videos, social media skimming, or word of mouth tips. Poor ecollar training can be extremely detrimental to your dog where as proper usage can be HUGE for their confidence and reliability as a companion.
I exchanged it for the 280c 2.0
I didn't realized this one didn't have a tone only nor a stimulation lock button, so I exchanged it.

Great remote tool, very easy to use and my dog took to it right away. I learned about this collar and how to use it from watching Tom Davis on YouTube. My dog is now coming back if he wanders off too far with just a "tap on the shoulder." He only needs level 5 so far. I feel so much better about him running around the farm off lead.
effective
my pet is not thrilled. the collar is very effective when used properly. i don't like the plastic collar. it is difficult to adjust to the correct length.
