Smells nice, easy to apply

I had to google how often to use this product, so it lost a couple stars for that annoyance (no frequency instructions on the bottle). The vet recommended it for

I had to google how often to use this product, so it lost a couple stars for that annoyance (no frequency instructions on the bottle). The vet recommended it for my chunky boy to prevent matting on his back. He ends up licking some of it off after I apply it.

In general I think cats do an excellent job of grooming themselves. My kitties are indoors and bathe themselves constantly. I was open to trying something that would make their coat shiny and keep their fur from matting once in a while. I tried the product on the kitty with the longest fur that tends to get matted near his tail. I can’t say that it helped with the mats but it did make his fur very shiny. Unfortunately the product has way too much fragrance in it for me to continue to use it. It is a very strong scent and the other kitties didn’t want to get near the one that I used it on after I brushed it into his fur. The product gave me a mild headache as well but I would try a different formula if they made one that was unscented or fragrance free!

Very easy to use and apply. The pump disperses the right about each time. I gently applied to hair and then massaged to reach the scalp. My cat loved the entire experience. I was able to apply all over his body. It dried quickly and had a very pleasant smell. His coat really shined. I loved that it is entirely safe to use and has no dangerous ingredients. I will definitely continue to use.

Magic in a bottle!

One of our cats has an inoperable spinal cyst and his neurologic function is impaired in his hind end. As a result, he can't really twist his body in the position needed to groom his entire back half. He gets quite greasy and develops a lot of dandruff along his back, no matter how much I brush or comb him. This leave-on mousse is INCREDIBLE. First, it smells awesome - a bit like sunscreen but in a pleasant, light way. Second, the foam is rich and smooth, so very easy to apply to his coat. I worked it along his entire topline by hand and combed a little bit through before he decided he had other things he needed to do. I wish I'd taken a before picture; the difference is *stunning.* There's no residue in his coat, and the hair is soft and shiny as if he'd groomed it himself. I have no idea how it eliminated the oils so thoroughly. It's like MAGIC. I can't put into words how incredible this works. It's an excellent price point and you will not be disappointed!

We used this product on our youngest cat, a short hair tortoise shell. Her coat was feeling a bit greasy for some reason, so we decided that was the perfect time to test it out. The scent is really nice, it smells kind of like coconut to me. It is not an overly strong scent which I love. After brushing her, we applied the mousse to our hands and then to her coat. It was really easy to apply and work through. At first it seemed really wet, but it actually dried quite quickly! By the time we were done rubbing it in, it was already 90% dry. I brushed her again and let it finish drying. She smelled really nice and her coat looked clean, but it did still have a little bit of a greasy feel, which is why I only gave 4 stars. It wasn’t as greasy as before, but still a little bit.

The main reason is that after applying it to a small section on one of my cats ,when it dried, it felt greasy and like there was definitely some kind of product there. When I was done , my cat immediately started licking it off. I also didn’t care for the smell. It didn’t smell that much when I put it on my hand. However,after I applied it, I did not like the way it smelled on my cat. I really can’t even explain what the smell was but it wasn’t pleasant. I did like the texture, it’s a mousse & was easy to apply & was easy to massage into my cats fur. Maybe it’s good for a cat that no longer grooms itself due to age or disabilities but I would not use it for any other reason.

Pros: this smells good, is lightweight, and didn't feel sticky or leave a residue on my cat's fur. Cons: when I tried to use it on my cat, she freaked out and ran away and wouldn't let me come near her to finish massaging it in. My other cats also ran away and I didn't even try using it on her. Also, even though it smells good initially, the smell didn't wash off my hands and now it is annoying. I don't see myself needing this product for my cats, nor using the remaining product since they really didn't like it!

Douxo Skin and Coat Shampoo is a foam shampoo. Just put two squirts in the palm of your hand and rub into cats fur. Make sure you brush the cat first. I tried this on my cat that had a lot of dandruff on his back. He is a 25 pound cat and could not reach his back to clean it properly. Since I have started using this product on him his dandruff is almost gone. This foam shampoo smells good too!

I have been looking for a product like this for over a year and this product is wonderful. All I have to do is pet my cat with the product on my hands and she immediately smells clean and it doesn’t bother her one bit. I would absolutely recommend this product to any cat parent.
