What should the liquid inside look like?

Acmella? This ingredient is questionable for safety in dogs. It numbs their mouth?
Answer by Chewy • Jan 03, 2022
Dr. Brite's founders and doctors advise that Acmella or Spilanthes also known as toothache plant is completely safe for pet use. In fact it is in many naturopathic pet oral care remedies and used in Veterinary medicine regularly. It has many properties and when eaten whole (flower or bud ) and in large quantities, it can numb the mouth. At full strength (undiluted), Acmella causes numbness, salivation and drooling - like when you get a numbing shot at the dentists. In our formulation, Acmella is one of many ingredients that work together to help keep dogs and cats oral health balanced and prevent gum disease. So it will not numb your pet's mouth. We do not use Acmella at full strength allowing it to function synergistically as a detoxifying, restorative and cleansing ingredient in our pet oral care products.

Works Well and Looks Fine

I love this spray for my dog. It's easy to apply and smells great. Regarding the contents being black - my contents are brown and I'm fine with it because the ingredients are Parsley Seed Oil, Green Algae (reduces plaque), Grape Seed Extract, Hemp Seed Oil among other ingredients. All natural and those items are not clear.

Same issue as previous review

I had only ordered one bottle awhile back and same situation. The stuff inside was black and threw it out but forgot to place a review. I was just about to order it again when I remembered I never called to get a refund or place a review when it occurred to me until I saw the previous review. Don't know if it's suppose to come black but would like to see another person's review about the item or a video, pictures, or better description on what the product itself should be like as I think I am not sure if it is suppose be black. Pretty sure it's suppose to be clear. However, I have purchased this brand in human dental items beforehand and continue to purchase and brand is great for me and products are clear or white. Also, purchased the dental gell cleaning pen of this brand for my dog and that came out clear, minty and works well. I do feel like chewy distribution centers do need to go over their dental stock as I received pawitas dental mint water additive recently that had no expiration date, not wrapped and missing a cap, and was black. Which makes me think if this product was black it was expired.

not sure if it was a bad batch but threw away

The sprayer was not working well so I opened this product to pour into a different spray bottle. What I saw was a brown and black clumpy substance. Immediately threw it away as there was no way I was spraying whatever that was into my dogs mouth. Quite pricey too!
