What is the ratio of clay to grass? How much of it is clay and how much grass?

The Touch of Outdoors litter is a clumping clay litter. The natural prairie grass has been added to the clumping clay litter as an additive so the percentage of prairie grass is small.

Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Clumping Cat Litter is a unique formulation that combines the heavy non-tracking granules of Precious Cat Classic with a medium-grain clay. The result is an excellent clumping litter that prevents moisture from reaching the bottom of the tray while providing a clump that will not break down. Both formulations are perfect for multi-cat households.

Will this work for a stray cat that refuses to use the litter box? She seems scared of the box and freaks out whenever she is put in it, even a new never been used box.

Dr. Elsey's Is by far the best clumping Clay litter that I've been able to find especially for the price! I buy the 40 pound bag, I use to use Tidy Cats or Arm & Hammer until I tried Dr. Elsey's! This litter is about $1.00 than 40 pounds of my other two brands and it last longer! It soaks up urine better than the other brands and its even better at helping with all the cat bathroom odors without having all those extra perfumes and fragrances added to the litter! We love perfumes and Fragrances but our cats aren't to fond of them at all! I believe that's why my cats seem to enjoy Dr. Elsey's they stay in their boxes longer to better cover up their bathroom "Gos"! You can't beat this litter especially not for the price!

Mixed with regular elseys to help it last and she loves it but it is a little dustier than the regular formula so if you're using it alone maybe consider mixing it? It's probably 3x as dusty as the regular formula to give you an idea but the benefits as of now are outweighing the one con it has

The shipping box was in great condition which leads me to believe the bag was sent to us that way. I’ve had several other shipments of this same product with no concerns prior, but am very dissatisfied with the most recent experience.

Love this litter!

One of my boys was having a hard time sharing a litter box and would pee elsewhere in the house. Once I switched to Dr. Elsey’s, there has been no peeing outside

One of my boys was having a hard time sharing a litter box and would pee elsewhere in the house. Once I switched to Dr. Elsey’s, there has been no peeing outside of the box. Both cats are boys and love this litter, I don’t have to put pellets on the bottom either. It clumps really nice and doesn’t track around the house. (Side note: Definitely sad Dr. Elsey’s discontinued the scented litter but I think it was for the better of all cats.)

Catbox retrain

Harley was spraying and urinating. We took him to the veterinarian to make sure there wasn't a medical problem and he was perfectly healthy. We have 3 cat boxes

Harley was spraying and urinating. We took him to the veterinarian to make sure there wasn't a medical problem and he was perfectly healthy. We have 3 cat boxes in the house as all our cats are indoor kitties. We put this litter in the box in the living room so we could monitor him. As soon as he used the box he got tons of praise and Churu. He is now a successful cat box user!

Works Like A Charm!

Overall the Dr. Elsey's brand seems off. Super Dusty, tracks all over and no noticeable calming effect. In fact we now have an outside of the box poopy.

It did not smell any different than the Unscented.

It said it had a touch of the outdoor sent to it, but I did not notice any sent. I wonder if the cats can tell the difference because I can’t.. It clumps well though
