My dogs go absolutely nuts for this treat. It can be used in 4 ways according to the package: as a full meal, mixed with a meal, used as a topper to a meal, or as a treat. I used it as treat and would suggest you try it this way first to see how you dog/puppy's stomach handles it, then if you want to use it as a topper to their food then go ahead. But I, myself, would never use it as a mix in with their food or as a full meal simply for the fact that that the largest package is 24oz and is $62. I have 3 dogs and this would not last very long that way. Other than that I will definitely be ordering the 24oz bag every other month as a special treat to give my dogs.

Chanel tried Dr. Gary’s Freeze-Dried Raw Chicken Recipe for the first time and she really liked it! Chanel is an 80 lb. Pitbull mix. We have given her this raw food as treats, used as a topper re-hydrated with water and not re-hydrated added to her kibble and she is enjoying it. No signs of stomach upset or allergies which is great! I appreciate all the healthy ingredients especially the omegas for her skin and probiotics and I like the fact that this is raw food. I would recommend this food.

This is my first time trying a freeze dried product. I have been curious too. First off I tried it as a treat and it was well liked, then I used it as a topper, they gobbled it up. I normally cook a fresh meat to add to their dry food, so this was super easy to do. It would be perfect to buy if you are taking a vacation and need to have someone else feed your dogs. The only thing stopping me from buying it on a regular basis is the cost. With one of my dogs being a yellow lab who could eat the whole bag in one serving its a little high for me.

My senior male eagerly sits for these as a treat and crunches these healthy bits of freeze dried chicken up. My younger female also likes the just right sized pieces as a treat, or as an entire wholesome meal and also enjoys them sprinkled on top of her kibble. I've found them easy to use, look appealing, no offensive odor. I carry a pocketful on our walks and dole them out for good behavior.

The cats all gathered around, so I gave them a few nuggets and they went crazy for it too! I was so pleasantly surprised, I took a handful and went out to the chickens and yep! They went crazy for it! It's so nice to find a food you can use as a treat and know it's healthy!
