Amazing!

Our 9 year old English Cream Golden Retriever appears to be much younger dog and this dog food deserves credit. She had put on some weight due to humans indulging her. However, this senior reduced calorie food really helped her drop the needed weight. She’s beautiful and had the energy and beauty of a much younger dog. Thanks Dr Gary!!

Gave It a Try

Tried this because kennel where I board feeds it. I had been feeding Pro Plan Bright Mind for Adult Dogs. Will be going back to it. I judge a dog food by the amount of stool and this one produces a lot more than Pro Plan. (More stool/more filler!!)

Don't recommend

My dog would not eat this after it was the primary food. I had loo blended it in with her former food which was Taste of the Wild. After I added it she started defecating about 5 times as much as I feed her which is exactly 2 cups a day, which is measured. How that is physically possible I do not know but I don't recommend this.

Sad to see

Very sad to seethe dog food bag is now 2 pounds less than the previous ordered bag. I understand price increases. So now everyone must recalculate when the next dog food order should arrive. Just increase the price, don’t be sneaky & think pet owners won’t notice the missing 2 pounds. This comment is addressed to the manufacturer, not Chewy! Great service , Chewy!

Price increase and smaller bags

Have been using Dr.Gary’s for years, great food but very disappointed that their prices have skyrocketed and their bags have gotten smaller ,making it very difficult to keep feeding it especially in this current economy. Unfortunately will have to look elsewhere

Stinky stuff

The moment you open the bag a huge gust of STINK flies out. I almost threw up. My dogs refuse to even go near the food. I felt so bad.. I didn't have any other food so I just left it out in hopes they go t hungry enough they would eat it. They did and all 5 of them threw up. I do not recommend this food.

Prices and quantity

Don’t really like getting a smaller bag and then spending the same or more for less.

Can't really tell yet.

I really had my hopes up that my spoiled brat would like this. She really needs to lose weight (got that Lab gene) and she's a senior. She doesn't like it as well as her previous food, but maybe it's just unfamiliar. I haven't given up.

Good quality, perfect for seniors

I have Corgi, 12 yo. He'd been having joint trouble and gained weight due to less activity. This food has helped him slim down, especially after we found the right supplement for his mobility issues. Now he's bright eyed, playful and has less weight to carry around. Best and most effective of the weight control and senior foods I have tried.
