I ordered this product based on its ingredients. instead of wholesome natural ingredients, the product I got was made of junk soy oil, petrolatum, and paraffin. Returned immediately. Other products for same price but better ingredients available.
This is like a miracle in a jar. The first day I got it I put it on my dogs paws while he was sleeping that night. The next day his paws had gone from sandpaper to a baby’s bottom. Literally. I would recommend doing it while they’re sleeping since my boy likes to lick it off. However, due to the fact that it’s all natural I don’t mind it if he does wake up and lick his paws with it on there. Before applying this his paws were so rough that just rubbing up against me in bed felt like a porcupine had attached itself to the bottom of his paws. And now, it’s so soft that there isn’t any kind of roughness. I saw 100% improvement after the first use.
The tin is huge and will definitely last for my 3 little pups a long time. They seem to not mind it on there feet, but did lick them a little. No smell to me, but they probably can smell some ingredients. Trying to use at least once a week or more to soften their dry summer feet and keep them protected in the winter as well.
Used this for the past 2 weeks and find it effective. The cost is reasonable compared to others. I am disappointed it has petrolatum, beeswax and paraffin, so I will be endeavoring to make my own using unrefined coconut oil, candelilla wax and vegetable oil. Other than making something better yourself, this has been a good helpful product.
I received an item pictured & labeled the same EXCEPT for the ingredients. The jar I received has: Soy oil, Petroleum, shea butter, jojoba oil, beeswax, paraffin, lecithin. I chose this product based on the advertised ingredients as my dog licks her paws & I do not want her ingesting petroleum at all. The item also arrived with a dented lid but I could still open & close the jar so that was not a deal breaker. Chewy refunded my money without any issues.
