    I Think It’s Helping

    By on

My Cookie has had Cushing’s for 2 years. I tried the recommended meds but they were hurting more than helping. I was looking into alternate solutions to help her feel better. Dr Mercola has the mixture of ingredients I was looking for - DIM, melatonin, and lignan. I use this along with Cushex drops M & S, plus CBD oil. I know these will not cure her but it’s given her a better quality of life. I have Dr. Mercola on auto ship. I only wish it was chicken flavor instead of beef since she’s on a poultry diet but she doesn’t mind the taste.

The coat of my black long-haired 9 year old chihuahua had become brown and short. Cushings? I could not afford testing & treatment. I tried this product and it worked! Her hair has turned back to black and is growing!

    Dog Stopped Eating

    By on

My dog really disliked this powder. At first he would eat it on his food, but then he stopped eating it even if I mixed it in with peanut butter. I didn't see any immediate benefits and couldn't get him to eat it for long enough to see longer term benefits.

    Cushing's Disease support, too

    By on

My dog was found to have Cushing's Disease about three years ago after an ultrasound showed enlarged adrenal gland. He was asymptomatic, but I began researching holistic ways to treat CD. This supplement has the melatonin and lignans which are helpful in supressing cortisol production. I sprinkle the powder dose into his am and pm meals - twelve hours apart. When I told his our local vet university teaching school they approved.

    The help he needs

    By on

My dog suffers from a pediatric neuter. It was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life and I will forever be upset about it. His body proportions are terrible(as are most pediatric sterilizations). Due to the loss of hormones his bones are thin, not a lot of hair growth, other issues and he isn’t built properly. I could break his legs in my hands if I wished. I’ve read about this formula many times and decided I had to have it to see if it would help. It has helped him tremendously. Of course it won’t change his proportions but it helps him so much. It’s assisted his endocrine system and helped him produce more hair, which he was lacking. I’m so much happier with the appearance and performance I’m now seeing. It’s also assisting in his heat intolerance which is great since he’s a working dog. I recommend this product and I’m sure my dog does as well. … more

Our 15 year old toy schnauzer was diagnosed with Cushing disease. She wasn't responding well to the medication prescribed for the disease so I decided to try to deal with it naturopathically. I put her on Cush X and she was better but she was still have accidents and was begging for food all the time(2 symptoms). I thought I'd try Dr. Mercola's Glandular Support and she is SO much better. She's perky, no more accidents and no begging. Her hormone levels are much better too. I'm thrilled. We have a male schnauzer that also has Cushings. I'd like to put him on the male version but it's "out of stock"..Chewy please get it back in..thank you

Great Alternative to What Vet Recommended

    By on

My elder dog was diagnosed with Cushings, presenting with intense, championship panting. I mean this panting kept me awake at night while wearing earplugs! He also exhibited excessive drinking, and some incontinence (although that may have been circumstantial more than disease related.) Our vet recommended a drug that was going to cost $70/mo and was associated with chemotherapy and was reported to have harsh side effects. After doing some research, I stumbled on this product and after reading positive reviews, decided to try it. I'm buying my third round now. After about 1.5 months, the panting was nearly completely gone (other than what's normal.) Still waiting...

    By on

I recently purchased this after reading that my dog’s hair loss may be related to a hormone imbalance. We’ve tried all the other remedies, and she’s still as bald as ever on her neck and chest. Unfortunately I can’t say if it’s working yet, but I will say she does eat it, and with her, that’s half the battle. I was surprised to see it’s such a fine powder, she only eats dry food, so we really have to mix it in well to get it to coat the pieces. I’d also recommend washing the bowl after since it creates a slobbery sludge at the bottom that later hardens into cement!

    Excellent Cushings Regimen!

    By on

Our 13 year old Shih Tzu has Cushings... We opted to try natural remedies first and this product is amazing!!! We decided to start out with 1/2 the dose and don’t feel he needs more at this time! He’s happy and energetic again! No more panting and he’s sleeping all night... Still hungry but not drinking as much and not saturating tinkle pads nearly as much! We are using melatonin also but only 1/2 the dose recommended and having great success...

    All in one product

    By on

Our dog was drinking lots of water, having accidents, losing hair, enlarged liver. Tests show adrenal mass and suggested atypical Cushing’s. Prescribed treatment has been HMR lignans and melatonin. This product contains both, plus DIM (found in certain vegetables, I’d suggest a search to learn how it works on hormone levels). All 3 ingredients work to try to normalize her adrenal hormones and has been effective in lessening her symptoms. Now I can give one powder instead of 3 different pills. Consider seeing a vet to be sure hormone imbalance is actually the cause of your dog’s symptoms, and if so, this may help.
