I have two cats (4 y/o & 9M), my 4 year old did not like this litter. She has never had “bad” litter habits or accidents. I switched from Arm and Hammer’s unscented clay litter to these pellets. I gradually added the pine into their old litter. Once I fully switched to the pine, she did not use the litter box and had an accident on my carpet. Again, she’s never done this. I immediately switched to our old litter and she has not had an accident since. If you do buy, I’d recommend it to anyone with young cats who are not as used to a certain litter. Also, it does not cover up poop smells at all. You can smell it as soon as they leave the litter box and it lingers. Both cats also tracked it outside the box (I have two enclosed litter boxes) and my 9 month old had cracked paw pads from it (never had had issues before). I think it definitely depends on your cat’s personal preferences but for me, this did not work, despite its affordable cost.

This product is amazing AND, so economical!! Pellets absorb urine and Odor! I scoop the solids everyday, the urine make the pellets turn to sawdust, and hold the odor, the litter box only has to be dumped and new pellets added once a week. The only odor I smell is that of the pine wood! Very natural! My cat uses it without and issues! I highly recommend this! No dust, no perfume, no trouble.

Meow meow!! I am a avid user of pretty litter & fresh step crystal they are the best litter out there for oder control. The only problem is the cats track it every where, the crystal get between their beans & the litter mats don't work well. This is why I thought I try a bigger sized litter pellet i was very skeptical but I was surprised how well this stuff was at odor control and does not stick to the litter pan and it's doesn't get tracked all over the house.
Pine pellet litter for 2 cats.
This was amazing. I mix it with normal clay litter and it does wonders. I feel like the ammonia smell has gone down exponentially. I do not use any scented litter
This was amazing. I mix it with normal clay litter and it does wonders. I feel like the ammonia smell has gone down exponentially. I do not use any scented litter or any deodorizers. One bag will last you a long time if you mix it with litter. It does not work in automatic litter boxes as it does not fit through the sifting part. Also, when you’re scooping the litter, the pellets won’t sift through your scooper. It’s a pretty big bag, you definitely get more bang for your buck!! I would highly recommend.

Admittedly, I am a first time cat owner so I do not have a lot of comparisons for cat litter. However, my husband really is keen on not having a "cat smell" in our room where the litter box is. The first type I bought was the classic clumping clay. All the Arm&Hammer powder I added could not mask the smell of cat pee and poop. I knew I needed something different. I took my chances on Dr Pol Pine pellets. I figure for the price, I could not go wrong. I absolutely love it. It smells very natural - and the best part is, even when the litter box is used, it still maintains its natural/fresh smell. My cat likes it too. No issues with the cat using it. I did add some traditional litter (3 parts Dr Pol to 1 part traditional clay) just to help with clumping. I think in the future that I won't need to do this as Dr Pol's does a fine job clumping. Also an added benefit is that the cat doesn't kick Dr. Pol's out of the litter box at all. The last clay brand was getting tracked everywhere. Super happy with this find and with definitely be ordering more.

I got recommended other brands that literally claim they are the "best." This is actually the best cat litter. The smell is fresh for such a long time. My cat took to it in no time and the clean up is much more easier. If they keep this price point it is a absolute life saver. No more stinky litter and holding my noise to clean litter. Thanks Dr pol.

He’s only been using pure pine pellets for about a week and mixed them with her other letter for a week before I used them straight. The pine is very strong, but it’s a clean smell. She experimented with how far she could throw them but found out they didn’t travel very far. He uses the letter without a problem and so far I’ve had no odor. What I really like is it doesn’t clump the urine dissolves the litter into sawdust . It’s cheap enough that I can dump the box when it becomes more sawdust and pellets, but I added a cup or two of pellets every time I clean the litter so we’ll see how it goes, but I like it so far.
Cats refuse to use

I have been trying alternative litters to clay and was hopeful with the pine pellets. It doesn’t help with fecal odors at all but seems to keep urine smells down. My cats don’t like the pellets at all!!! I think they, the pellets, are too large. Neither cat will burry their waste, and are urinating outside the litter box.
Great for urine odor control! Litter genie is a must!

4/5 Cats approve! I used feline pine some years ago and recently discovered this brand as cheaper alternative to the pretty litter I've recently been using. Its amazing for urine odor control (poop not so much lol). I love the scent and the reduced tracking. I recommend this stuff for a single or multicat household. (Make sure to stay on top of poop scooping though otherwise your house will smell like a barn lol). Dr. Pol+litter genie=happy household.
