Spend more time playing and less time grooming with Dremel's Cordless Dog & Cat Rotary Nail Grinder Kit. This rechargeable, cutting-edge tool makes it easy to grind your little one's claws down to a perfectly manicured length. Because this nifty clipper is wireless, you can further relax your pet by allowing them to sit or lie in a comfortable position while the two-speed rotary tool quickly sands down sharp and overgrown claws. Plus, the Dremel comes with everything you need to get started, so you can start trimming your pet’s nails in minutes!

I had been using a Dremel tool (plug in) for about 2 years now. I bought this because it said it was quiet and it is compared to the other tool. This is a 16-year-old Black Lab who is afraid of everything, With no cord it is a lot easier to move around and he weighs in at 120 lbs if he decides to move hang on. He is a lot calmer and having thick toenails makes my life easier. I have trimmed his toes twice now and am still on the first charge very impressed so far.
1 - The dogs were less fussy and more cooperative about having their nails trimmed using the Dremel instead of dog-toe-nail-clippers 2 - My dogs have black nails so I'm more comfortable using the Dremel so I can stop and see how close I'm getting to their quick 3 - The Dremel itself is easy to use and a nice handling size. It held its charge well. I like the simplicity of having a Dremel dedicated for one purpose. My husband has a shop/tool size one and the size it too unwieldy to try to do the dogs' nails and changing the bit is more complicated (we can never find the part).
The grinder does, just ok. A bit disappointed at the lack of speed. It does grind my dogs nails but slowly due to the lack speed. My dog does not like her nails trimmed and this grinder takes longer than it should due to lack of power.
This grinder was the first one I'd ever used on my Siberian husky mix. She has big anxiety around getting her nails done, so this was a step up from clippers. She did fair enough with it, but it was loud, it vibrated like crazy, and the sanding cylinder started to slip off the tip after aout the third use. I had to stop and start a lot to put it back in place, which made grinding take longer, which made pup more anxious. After about the 5-6th use, the cylinder was dulled. I siwtchne of the replaced to a replacement that came with the tool and it slipped even worse. None of the replacement cylinders fit snugly. Overall this tool wasn't a good fit for my needs, and the tediousness with the cylinder made it not worth the money.
Initially had a standard Dremel for woodworking /dual purpose that died after a couple years of use. As nail grindings were the only routine use I figured we'd settle for something more basic. Overall this unit works ok, it is louder than were used to, less powerful and I didn't realize how helpful the light feature on my prior unit was unit we changed to this one. Overall it is ok, would not repurchase if it dies
My dog needed her Nails done. We tried groomers before they didn’t work. So I decided to try to do them myself. My dog has been with me along time so, I figured she would allow me to do. She did and we are still working in them. Because they got so long, that you can only take off a little at a time. We will update a picture later. I recommend this
this little Dremel came right in handy for my 50lb Malinois & I really like the quality for the price I paid, for around $30 it’s compact, low on noise, wireless/chord free, charges in an hour or so, & works very well. I was able to get my pups front paws done in less than five minutes & what made my day is that with shipping it arrived literally the next day. I would highly recommend this product if you want to avoid weekly trips to the doggo nail salon, I’m telling you it’s just as good as the ones they use in shop.
Uhhh thought I was paying for a brand new dremel. And what I got was a used one. Opened. With buttons that stick. Love paying full price for a used item >.> jk that sucks. The box it was sent in was taped closed and the spare sanding bands were just lose bouncing around in the box.
Grinder has worked well after puppy got used to sound and feel. It’s important to slowly introduce puppy to smell, sound and feel. Works well.
I have a 10 year old pug - he is pretty good with me cutting his nails but I stress about it and have hit the quick before (he has black nails). This dremel is quiet, and does the job so fast. My suggestion is to get their nails trimmed at vet or groomer and then use this dremel once a week.
