DO NOT make the mistake I made. DO NOT purchase for Parakeets! The hole is tooooo small of an opening for a parakeet and when I went back to review my order the description is for a Finch! I have had this over a month and today I decided to coast Angel inside as I never noticed her or Charlie going inside of the hole opening but both of them did go inside of it when I opened the top of the box, but Angel couldn't get out or go through the hole opening. I want to make sure no one else makes this mistake. However, It is made really well. No missing parts.

Overall this is a good nest box however the hole for the opening is way too small even for finches. I had to customize it to make it bigger

but with a large crack on top it is not water proof. I installed it under a tarp in a sheltered area. Again, probably too late for someone to move into this year. But

Bought 3 nesting boxes. 2 were missing the sticks for birds to stand and and the metals to hang it from.
