I had such high hopes for this cage and it was a huge disappointment. The look and size of the cage was great but it was poorly built. I would have to zip tie the entire cage together for it to be even remotely secure. This cage is not safe for my green cheeked conure, or any birds. I will be returning this item.

TERRIBLE CAGE!!

I bought this cage for my conure. He has a bigger cage, but needed this size for when I travel and my sister watches him. Just easier to transport. Well, the quality of this cage is pure garbage!! Very difficult for one person to put together, because every time you hook the sides in the other comes out! It is so warped that I had to drill holes in the bottom tray in order to zip tie the cage to it in order to secure it. The top does not fit right either. If I didn’t need this size cage right now, I would be returning it. Complete garbage! Don’t waste your money!!!

Extremely poor design and Unsafe

The cage in the picture looked great, but I was quickly disappointed upon receiving it. Attempting to put it together was a nightmare due to poor instructions. After finally getting most of it together, the cage walls wouldn't lock in or fit in the base. Come to find out the pieces were warped bad enough the cage couldn't be put together. On top of that, the cage itself is rather unsafe. The door has no locking mechanism and is gravity operated. Meaning a smart bird could find out how to open it, and possibly hurt themselves. Also the paint or varnish isn't very well applied. While putting it together it was flaking pretty easy, and the welds had extra metal sticking out. All in all a terrible cage experience and won't be purchasing an A&E cage again. The positive part of the purchase is that Chewy's customer support was extremely swift and helpful in processing a refund.
