I was very excited about this hay for my bun bun. It is beautiful looking hay. Unfortunately my bun wasn't very interested in it. Once I realized it is a mix of Timothy hay AND Orchard grass I knew why. She has been fed strictly Western Timothy hay for many years and I assume she was used to that type? However, I left the box on the floor near her enclosure and every once in a while she will pull some out.
What is happening?!
I ordered three bags of Eaton Timothy Hay for my bunnies and received three bags of bedding. I canceled the order at the suggestion of a Chewy rep and reordered
I ordered three bags of Eaton Timothy Hay for my bunnies and received three bags of bedding. I canceled the order at the suggestion of a Chewy rep and reordered Eaton Timothy Hay and again received Bedding. I went to my local pet store and bought Timothy Hay from Oxbow. Really disappointed in this transaction.

I used Eaton Pet & Pasture Premium First Cut Blend Timothy Hay with my two 3-year-old female guinea pigs. They seem to enjoy munching on it! Since hay is an essential part of their everyday diet, I always keep a fresh pile in their cage, and guinea pigs go through a lot of hay. Compared to previous hay brands I’ve used; my guinea pigs seem to like the taste of this Eaton Pet & Pasture Premium First Cut Blend Timothy Hay. My guinea pigs were unable to burry in it as much as they usually do. My concern with this hay that my girls could hay get poke due to the hardness of the hay, but the hay is fresh looking and smelling. A big positive aspect about this hay is the low dust and it doesn’t smell as bad when it gets soiled from the guinea pigs lounging and urinating on it throughout the day. One complaint is how much of a pain the hay is to get out of the box. I’ve learned to hold the box over the cage. On the other hand, if it was in a bag, it would mean the hay would have to be compressed, the quality would be lower, the dust would be high and we would probably receive less hay. So, in retrospect, I will deal with the mess of getting this product out of the box because the quality is worth it!

Beautiful, Green Timothy and or hard grass hay. Strands are long and course with good amount of seed heads and orchard leaves. My girls aren’t interested in the course pieces but love the seed heads, leaves and softer stems. Although this is mixed hay (orchard and Timothy) I do think it’s more Timothy than orchard.
Yummy hay but poor packaging
The timothy hay was a bit above average quality. Soft and green but still a bit of long stalks. The packaging was my biggest concern. The hay was packed in the cardboard
The timothy hay was a bit above average quality. Soft and green but still a bit of long stalks. The packaging was my biggest concern. The hay was packed in the cardboard box without any inside bag. This led to opening of the box and then hay expanding. Once a handful was pulled out there was hay falling all over the floor. Also if there was an internal plastic bag it would keep out any small bugs getting into hay or being given off by the hay. I took a large plastic bag and dumped the hay into it so it can be distributed without getting all over. The one down side is the bag is not convenient to store.

My rabbits were not wild about this hay. They did not eat much of it at all. They picked at it and I ended up having to remove it from their cage and giving them the stuff that I originally feed them. I did not want to give it a low rating just because my rabbits did not want to eat it, my rabbits could just be picky and prefer not to eat Timothy hay. I did offer the hay to one of my friends who has rabbits and their rabbits at it with no problem at all. This product does seem like a good product to offer as long as you know the animal you are feeding will eat Timothy hay.

The hay arrived in a box, and when I opened it, the hay was nicely layered in the box. The hay looks clean and healthy. I took a bunch for my bunny, Leo, and he is not interested. He seems to prefer Orchard Hay, but would rather eat Brown's Tropical Carnival Natural Behaviors Grain Free Food which has Timothy Hay.
Bunnies Approved!
My two Netherland dwarf bunnies love this hay they started munching right away without hesitation. The hay was compressed in a sturdy box. During summertime in Florida
My two Netherland dwarf bunnies love this hay they started munching right away without hesitation. The hay was compressed in a sturdy box. During summertime in Florida we struggle to find good quality hay, this hay was nice and green. As you can see, our bunnies approve!

Odin the guinea pig has been around for the long haul. He has tried many brands of timothy hay throughout his life. But we thought, hey what's one more going to hurt? It didn't hurt at all. Odin loves the hay and is fresher than others in the past.
Chewing on some hay
High quality Timothy hay, I love that it comes in a re-closable box. It’s the perfect amount too. Our rabbits love this, there is a big difference in the quality
