Will the collar send an automatic shock, noise, vibration to the dog before they pass the 1 mile range away from the owner?

This collar will not automatically correct your pet. You must engage the correction through the button on the remote transmitter to the receiver collar. The correction range is one mile. If your pet is further than one mile from the remote they may not receive the correction.

Will it work on a course at a hundred something pounds?

The range is unable to be adjusted. This collar has a 1760 yard (1 mile) range. Range may vary according to terrain, weather conditions, foliage and power lines as well as radio transmissions from other devices.

Well made

I am using it to recall our Australian Cattle Dog when he takes off after coyotes. He sounds like a hound baying and can be so far away I can just barely hear him

I am using it to recall our Australian Cattle Dog when he takes off after coyotes. He sounds like a hound baying and can be so far away I can just barely hear him. It seems to work, but he won't let on that it affects him. He is a tough bugger who can be real focused when in pursuit.

This collar has worked wonders with our stubborn husky, who has failed to understand any training methods we have tried. After working with her tirelessly with no results, we caved and spent the money on this e-collar. Most of the time, after familiarizing her with how it worked, we only need to use tone to correct her for problematic behavior. We’ve tried everything, and this is the only things that’s worked. It’s expensive, but definitely worth the price.

CHEWY SENT WRONG/CHEAPER VERSION

Ordered “THE BOSS” model as the description states. CHEWY sent the ET-400 model instead, which is the cheaper model. Customer service was less than helpful and seemed

Ordered “THE BOSS” model as the description states. CHEWY sent the ET-400 model instead, which is the cheaper model. Customer service was less than helpful and seemed bothered to assist only that they couldn’t see the model on their end. Actually completely shocked that a large company would advertise an item, yet ship the cheaper model to customer. Either poor controls in supply chain or unethical business model. Had I not pre-researched every model with E-technologies I might not have noticed since both remotes are black. However writing on front and model on box stated the difference. Disappointing they got it wrong, lost a customer that they gave no effort to get it right.

Broke in 2 weeks

Our Saving Grace

We have a reactive dog who was 100% unreliable off leash. When we paired our training with the Educator, our dog was able to make a full 180. He was leash reactive,

We have a reactive dog who was 100% unreliable off leash. When we paired our training with the Educator, our dog was able to make a full 180. He was leash reactive, dog reactive, and barrier reactive due to poor genetics. The Educator lets us break him out of his reactive cycles and lets him have a normal function. We've been able to use two collars with one remote and both our dogs are 95% reliable off leash after working on training for 3 months. The LED is a great added feature for night time walks and being able to set the light pattern helps distinguish both dogs at night. One goes on a solid light, the other goes on a blinking light. From a distance, we can tell exactly where each dog is. The vibrate is the perfect strength and the stim levels are exactly what we need for each dog.
