Eheim isn't for idiots. It does fit together, been using only Eheims for 50 years... Have 8 of them. Some are 35 years old and still run great. But, Eheim is not for novices who need hand holding. These are made in Germany where people have common sense and can look at things and figure it out. As far as customer service. No, there is none. These are expert filters, for experts. I have never needed Eheim customer support for anything.
