Doesn't work with my pump

I bought the Eheim installation kit for this and the aerator does not do anything. I have an Eheim classic (250?) and it doesn't pump hard enough to get the air

I bought the Eheim installation kit for this and the aerator does not do anything. I have an Eheim classic (250?) and it doesn't pump hard enough to get the air bubbles to flow. I cleaned the filter so it is working at it's peak. Disappointed.
