Poor Quality
The canister feels cheap and the plastic will easily break. I have 3 parts that broke in just a month. The adapter valve constantly gets stuck and will not detach
The canister feels cheap and the plastic will easily break. I have 3 parts that broke in just a month. The adapter valve constantly gets stuck and will not detach from the canister cover making it unusable since you can’t remove the hoses to clean nor the suction will work since it sits in the partially locked position.

This is a great filter, pretty easy to clean, does a great job filtering but this means that you need to clean it pretty regularly. It is whisper Quiet, easy to set up, comes with excellent bio matter. The design makes getting the canister refilled after a cleaning supper easy. This replaced a different canister filter that I had for years and that I had to replace parts on every year or two which was fine, and getting is running correctly after a thorough cleaning was always a ordeal. Hoping this filter goes longer with out needing parts replaced.

Reliable and quiet
I bought this months ago after my Eheim Pro II died after many years. I also have an Eheim Classic 250 on another tank, also for many years. Maybe because I'm used
I bought this months ago after my Eheim Pro II died after many years. I also have an Eheim Classic 250 on another tank, also for many years. Maybe because I'm used to the brand, I found the set up of the 250 straight forward, and the upkeep is easy too when you get used to it. Again, this may be because I'm familiar with the brand. I think the Pro II was a better set up, but the hose assembly on the 250 is a nice improvement. It's super quiet, will likely last for years, and keeps the Discus happy. I'm not familiar with other brands, so can't offer a comparison.

It is the worst filter I have ever used . If you don’t keep the instructions you are in dept trouble. I have purchased several marine land 220 filters from chewy and always happy with the purchase. You can dissemble 220 with no instructions and be safe. Not so with the eheim. The out of the 220 is more powerful than the eheim. Sorry Chewy pure junk????
