The all-natural bacon flavoring means Embark supplements can be given like treats to most dogs (just be careful not to exceed the number of chews per day outlined in the Directions for Use). If your dog does not love the bacon flavor, the supplement can also be crushed and put into something your dog loves (such as cheese or peanut butter).
For best results, Embark supplements should be given daily. The number of chews your dog should take depends on their weight; please refer to the Directions for Use section of the bottle for instructions.

While these supplements are not likely to harm puppies, we don’t recommend their regular use in dogs younger than one year. Puppies require specific amounts of vitamins and minerals in their diets, and their nutritional needs can be met by a commercial diet formulated for puppies. Administration of any supplement outside these diets may cause nutritional excesses or deficiencies. No adverse effects are expected if your puppy has eaten just one or a few chews.

Too much tumeric?

My middle aged mixed breed dog has always had allergies, treated first with apoquel pills and currently with an allergy shot. Both are expensive prescriptions so I am always looking for something that would provide relief in an easier and more cost effective way. These allergy chews sounded good. Unfortunately my dog refuses to eat them, either as treats or crumbled into her food. I can't offer any advice about effectiveness but perhaps a less picky eater would like them. They are small yellow squares probably deriving their color from tumeric which some dogs like and others don't.

He enjoys the taste but unfortunately, he has experienced no relief from his itching. The chews are soft and fresh. The label indicates they are "manufactured" in the USA followed by "using responsibly globally-sourced ingredients", which could mean ingredients are out-sourced from other countries. Hopefully these allergy chews could be effective for dogs with different allergy types. However, they were not the right fit for us.

This is my first experience with Embark. Their background in working with both vets and geneticists to develop the best products for canine health is fascinating. I’m impressed with the nutritional aspects of the natural ingredients. It’s too soon to tell how much of a difference it will make for my dog’s skin and coat, but it’s been a good experience so far. I also like that this can be given to dogs of any size. The only difference is how many daily chews are recommended, which is based on their weight.

I’ve been giving the Embark Allergy Bacon Flavored Soft Chews to my female German Shepherd who has always struggled with allergy issues. I am not sure if I'm seeing improvement in her itching but she likes them. She actually loves the bacon flavor and thinks they’re treats, which makes giving them to her super easy. The chews are soft enough that I can break them up if I need to, which is convenient. For a dog her size, I do wish the container had a little more in it, but like I said, my dog seems to like this supplement.

The ingredients seem appropriate for improvement coat (we also do salmon oil and green mussel). . Hagrid our Cane Corso is allergic to many foods/treats so its nice having something to help.
