Requires the cat to chew

This product helps to their clean teeth. The cats need to bite and chew, not swallow whole. They love them and ask for them daily. It's a bedtime ritual.

These treats are so hard my cats can't eat them, I even tried soaking them in water and they never got soft. Unfortunately won't be buying these again, what a bummer! - Sphynx Mom

Nothing against the brand, my cats love the hairball and urinary tract support treats from Emerald Pet. But they will not touch these. I’ve tried everything. They are SUPER hard and crunchy, almost impossible for me to even break into smaller pieces. Seems like more of texture for a medium/large dog instead of kitty teeth.

The Feline Dental Stixx are a choking hazard. They are smooth, not a rippled surfaced as shown in the product photos. The shape and length of the product varies and are extremely hard. When mixed with the cat's saliva they become extremely slippery leaving the cat unable to break it apart or expel it. If I wasn't there my cat may have tried to swallow it. The length and curve could have been deadly.

Very hard.

Only one of my cats will eat these. I will not be getting them again. The other will lick it and try to eat it sometimes but just doesn't seem to like the tough

Didn't look anything like the picture on the box

No ridges on the sticks. Cats liked to lick them but no chewing. So these didn't really work for us

They look like turds

Both my cats licked these for a little bit then ditched. Great pet treat idea that could help clean teeth but they are extremely hard. If your pets aren't into

Both my cats licked these for a little bit then ditched. Great pet treat idea that could help clean teeth but they are extremely hard. If your pets aren't into chew toys then they might get bored quick and unfortunately leave what looks like doodoo laying around.

These are very hard, so not good for cats that struggle with gingivitis. My cat gave these as sniff and refused to try them. I offered them to other cats who seem to eat anything and they ended up being too hard to even finish it. Dogs will eat them tho

the only solution that works for one of my cats

One of my cats tries to chew her food as little as possible so she can inhale it (she was food-bullied at the rescue before I adopted her :( ), so most dental treats are useless for her. They're too small and she can just swallow them whole. Also, I feed my cats grain-free food and treats, so I'm choosy about ingredients. With these, they're too big for her to eat whole and crunchy enough that even if she swallows the small pieces whole after chewing just a few times, she's still getting that dental treat CRONCH benefit. These are the ONLY grain-free dental treats I've found that actually make the cat chew them. They're now a staple in my house for daily supervised dental treat time.
