How is the smell? Harsh? How long does the smell (if any) stay?

The smell is not overwhelming. The product is not designed for deodorization, it is meant to prevent dog pee marking and re-soiling of those areas. It has a mild herbal spice odor consisting of clove, peppermint, and thyme. The smell would not be long lasting.

Can you use this on bedding? And on finished hardwoods?

This can be used on finished hardwoods. Bedding is also fine, however there is scent to it, so the bedding may keep that smell until washed.

Would this also work for pooping in the house?

This spray is formulated to help with urine and marking in the house only.

Is this safe for use on unfinished wood?

This manufacturer does not recommend spraying this on unfinished or non-treated wood, as the liquid would be absorbed and may change/warp the wood. If you choose to use the spray on this area, we suggest trying a small non-visible area in case it alters the wood.

It really works!!!

I have a 1 yr old puppy and he was spraying everywhere and I got a new couch I used the spray on it and he hasn't tried to pee on it at all.

The smell is pleasant

This spray works very well. Our smallest dog tends to leave pee spots around the house. After spraying the carpets, she does not for at least a week or more.

Smells great! Doesn’t deter.

Dis spray smells fantastic and helps get rid of any lingering odor after your dog has messed inside. However, it does not seem to deter my potty puppy from peeing

Works, but could be better.

Disappointed

After reading so many reviews we opted to purchase Emmy's Best Pet Potty Training Anti Pee & Marking Dog Deterrent Spray. We had out carpets cleaned and really hoping

After reading so many reviews we opted to purchase Emmy's Best Pet Potty Training Anti Pee & Marking Dog Deterrent Spray. We had out carpets cleaned and really hoping this would help our puppy. We take her out every two hours, she dopes her business but she will come in and in short time tinkle on carpet. We sprayed the carpet as directed, and more than once, but this did not deter her at all. It was really not worth purchasing for us, as no change sadly. Better luck to others whom try it.
